Today the dog shelter’s longest resident, Pam, was adopted. Pam came into the shelter in early June, very underweight and with two tiny puppies. The puppies were quickly rescued thankfully, but Pam has been waiting ever since.

When Pam was spayed, she tested positive for heartworm. Treatment is costly and requires exercise restriction--it is hard to put dogs through this in the shelter.

Thankfully in July, a foster volunteered to keep Pam for her treatment. Treatment takes 4 months and Pam's foster kept her this whole time, helping her through each phase. We couldn't be more grateful for her patience and commitment. This made all the difference for Pam and we know it couldn't have been easy to say goodbye today.

Thank you to her adopter for giving her a chance--choosing adoption makes all the difference for shelter dogs!

We are looking for information on the possible owner(s) of a grey and white female Pitt approx 3-5 years old. Dark grey with a white belly, a white blaze on her forehead and a white muzzle about 60lbs.

STRAY HOLD

DRUMSTICK - Male Sheltie/Corgi mix. Thought to be around 2 years old.
Drumstick was found on Braun Street, Glouster. He came into the shelter wearing a green harness and had several rubber bands in his tail hair (they were cut out). Drumstick currently weighs 17.6 pounds.

Meeting dogs is by appointment only. Please call the shelter (740/593-5415) to make an appointment. All adopters must bring in kids and other dogs in the household for a meet and greet before adoption.

Adoption fees are $125 ($65 for dogs 7 years old and older) and include dog license, basic vaccinations, heartworm test on adult dogs, and spay or neuter (ARRIVED 11/1/24).
