Urgently seeking landscape maintenance company for maintenance of flower beds at 3 locations. Our previous company was a no-show this spring. It would have been nice if they had the courtesy to call us to let they were not coming this year after they did a great job for us for a couple of years. Please call 901-873-4127 with suggestions. This is a big job, usually 2-3 days work every 2-3 weeks, depending on how many individuals are working together. We already have a service that takes care of mowing/weed-eating. This is for weeding flower beds.

Sadly, we found that Rhett, our goose (ambassador and mascot), that has lived @ Dixie Memorial since around 1995, apparently passed away peacefully in his sleep during the night. He had such a personality, adding life, character, and entertainment to our grounds for so many years. Normally, we would not post a photo of a creature that has passed away, but we loved him so much and are touched by how peaceful and beautiful he is on this day. There are more than 2000 pets interred here, so we know that many people also loved and enjoyed him through the years. We are grateful that we were able to help him live a long and pampered life.

What a great memory of Rhett♥️ I wish that we had a photo of Scarlett, his mate, with him before she was cruelly shot and killed by a delinquent a-hole teenage neighbor. Rhett was circling his dead Scarlett in our front pond at the cemetery when we found them on a beautiful Sunday morning.
