This past weekend I attended my 3rd ndgaa workshop. I took my short legged terrier practical on Meg the scottish terrier. I've been practicing my hand stripping along with her breed profile and passed with a 90.5%! Still waiting on the results of my sporting written test, if that comes back with a passing grade, I will have one more practical test to do and then my masters.

I've started on a journey to learn a new skill, a dying art really, called hand stripping. And to also continue in the next step with my master groomer certification. 2 birds 1 stone. The first group of pics is my project dog Reese, who hadn't been pulled in 6 months, and her impressive after photo. The next group is from today, 3 weeks later, and we worked on pulling the remaining blown parts of her jacket we didn't get to last time, and her furnishings and feet. Plus a bonus 16 week old scotty baby named barney who I got to introduce to stripping and grooming for the first time!

Last weekend I attended intergroom which is an international grooming show. I participated in the rising star competition, where I had 3 hours (with a 15 min break) to groom miss Josie the soft coated wheaten terrier while 4 industry leaders walked around and were available to answer questions. The only way to learn and grow is keep trying until you get it right. The last 2 pictures are Josie after Kathy corrected her trim I did in the ring.

Attended the charm city grooming competition this weekend. Competed in the all other pure bred division with Duke the soft coated wheaten terrier. No placement for us this weekend, but every time we try is an opportunity to learn more and do better next time.

A few days late, but I've officially hit 10 years in business! I bought this business in July of 2012 and hit the ground running.
