Buttercup would like to remind everyone to have a BIG MARE ENERGY weekend 😅

She is feeling much better, her eye is looking good, we are so hopeful we can heal her fully !

She does want everyone to know that the dog getting close to her senior feed is not okay. 😂.

Don’t worry, she was incredibly patient and only warned the dog to get away. She is truly a good girl ! 🙏🏼

We still need all the help we can get fund wise. The fantastic 4 need an exponential amount of supplies and care.

Skipper ❤️

This one’s a little different for you all.

This old man’s owner fell on some hard time and he needed a new place to call home asap. I knew we were full here but I had to try for this sweet old boy.

I asked a friend if she could help him out. Without hesitation she said yes bring him here.

So I went and got him and took him to his new home ❤️

He is such a good and loving boy.

She has another gelding and the way he screamed and ran to skipper had me crying. It was like they needed each other.

This is what this platform is all about. Creating GOOD. Doing GOOD. Being GOOD ❤️

While we are never happy to hear of members of our community falling on hard times, we are always happy to help when we can.

Skipper now has tons of kiddos to dote on him and groom him. He is so loved and so LUCKY !

A face you haven’t seen in a while! Asha 🩵

This warrior princess prefers to spend her days with her much younger, chunkier, smaller Mustang pony boyfriend Cash.

She prefers to not interact with us humans, and we cannot blame her. Her past is full of greedy breeders who just wanted babies out of this Doc O Lena mare. Despite her body not being able to stay fit, she was bred relentlessly.

We let Asha live her life as people-less as we can.

We love her, so we are respecting her wishes. Just pony boyfriends and all you can eat grass for this lady.

Safe ❤️

Yesterday was a long one but we are thrilled to announce the fantastic 4 are HERE AND DOING WELL !

We are pleased that Buttercups eye is open more than we anticipated and she seems to be feeling decent. We have a huge list of meds we will be treating her with daily. 🙏🏼

Reba is sore, her poor emaciated body has been thru a lot. She is SO HAPPY when it’s time for her senior pellets.

Cookie is easy going and seems to have an eye infection as well. She will start treatment today.

Wilson is super sick and snotty. We hope he will only get better from here and that the Texas crud will work its way out of his system.

We could use all the help we can get to continue their care and to help with the bills we still have for them. We could use all the angel donors for our Amazon list for supplies for them as these 4 will need extra supplements and feed for awhile to bounce back.

We are so thankful for each and every person who has helped us along the way. The 4 lives we salvaged from an awful demise. Can you believe it ? How magical is this !

The fantastic 4 have had their vet check done and coggins done and they all head to California very soon. We want to thank everyone who has helped us, sent kind words, sent donations, shared our profile and reels etc. this is a fight we cannot fight without all of you !

I will tell them everyday and night of the amazing humans who helped SAVE THEIR LIVES.

She needs our help.

Extremely painful and hurt yet still rode thru an auction like a machine.

We have bailed her but now we need help. She is not getting any better so she needs to go to the vet today. We are hoping they can help her eye. While it now is open a bit (see last photo) - it’s not progressing any further forwards so it is time for the vets.

We are hoping we can get some generous donations to help us with the overwhelming cost of saving this precious soul.

Alumni Cricket has grown so much 😭 it feels like yesterday this wild little thing arrived to us.

Her foster boyfriend and herself landed one of the best humans. She helps us so much at the rescue, and as a friend. Forever thankful for you Heather ! && we know these two are too !

Snow was such a good girl under all the pressure this last week ! She stood tied & easily loaded in the trailer (finallllyyyyy!).

I can’t wait for her to go off to official training and become one heck of a riding partner. This girl is wicked smart and once she trusts you, she’d walk into the fire for you. 🫶🏻

Update 🫶🏻. We are all still safe and sound. The mares are thoroughly enjoying some alone time from the geldings. They are getting spoiled rotten with apples and love. Due to the unpredictable nature of the fire we are going to keep them evacuated for the time being.

Snow is still partially wild and inexperienced so moving her is a big factor. As well as some of the other ladies just have extreme trauma so we don’t want to move them back and forth a lot.

Thank you endlessly for everyone who has messaged us, offered help, prayed, sent kind words, donated for extra feed, all the things. Thank you so much. We are truly blessed by our friends and family and supporters.

Fire update. We have moved the mares to a safer zone. We are going to start moving animals now as this fire is moving so rapidly, we need to start now.

We hope and pray we don’t have to leave this farm and rescue but with how many animals call us home we have to start moving them.

Pray for us. Pray for California. Pray for the first responders.

Rory the red headed king 👑

Rory is thriving with his foster mama. He is learning how to be handled in all aspects of life as a gelding with humans. He is lifting his feet, haltering nicely, and doing groundwork like a gentleman.

This wildling has taught us so much. Some horses need so much more time than others. Rory is a smart boy and likes to learn. Learning to trust humans is his kryptonite.

Lucky for him he landed the best foster mama and we are in no rush so we’re on Rory’s time 🫶🏻

Sweet lady Asha 🫶🏻

Asha is enjoying life. She doesn’t really enjoy human interaction (thanks to her abusive past) so we respect that and let her be a horse most of the time. She hit the jackpot when she came here ! She is an accident prone girly, who gets ulcers easily, and is the hardest keeper I’ve ever seen. Despite everything we love her and promised her a safe place 🫶🏻

We are leaning towards Asha spending the rest of her days here… I think she deserves to not change homes again. She loves her pony boy Cash so much I couldn’t fathom separating them.

I am baffled that we still have this boy… he is so sweet, going to be big, and he is beyond brilliant. He is going to make someone one heck of a horse.

He has fun with people and enjoys learning new things. For a Weanling he is a star !!

We are SO happy we got to save her off the truck.
