A fun day at the Central New Jersey Hound Show. Judge Nicholas Frost found father & son as his picks amongst today's exhibits.

Congratulations to Xavier (shown beautifully by Carlos Chacon) & his owner Helen Groce on being awarded BoV. Congratulations to Xavier's son WG Vincent, shown to perfection by Mary Cummings on being awarded Select Dog.

As of the end of July, Xavier was the #2 15" Beagle in the nation & WG Vincent was ranked #7 (Breed).

Back from 4 days of showing at Whitney Point. Many, many thanks to Lucienne McPherson for putting on such a lovely supported entry for the NBC and to all of the contributors to the prizes - this is one of my favorite shows and y'all are one of the many reasons why!

Thursday -
15" GCHS WG Vincent was BoV and went on to a HG4.
15" GCHS C2R N WG Stryker was OHBoB and went on to an OHG2.
15" GCH WG Lucie was Select Bitch.
15" WG Siren showed well coming off of a bad scare.
13" CH WG Cady was Select Bitch.
13" CH WG Lyra showed really well.

Friday
15" GCHS WG Vincent was Select Dog.
15" GCHS C2R N WG Stryker was OHBoB and went on to an OHG3.
15" GCH WG Lucie was Select Bitch.
15" WG Siren came out like gang busters and was Winners Bitch.
13" CH WG Cady was Select Bitch.
13" CH WG Lyra showed really well again.

Saturday - Sweeps
13" CH WG Cady was 13" best in sweeps.

Saturday - Supported Entry
15" GCHS WG Vincent was Select Dog.
15" GCHS C2R N WG Stryker won a nice BoV & OHBoB.
15" GCH WG Lucie was Best of Opposite.
15" WG Siren showed so well, and was Winners Bitch, earning her last needed major and, pending AKC confirmation is now CHAMPION WG Siren - woo hoo, baby girl!
13" CH WG Cady was Select Bitch
13" CH WG Lyra showed really well.

Sunday
15" GCHS WG Vincent was Select Dog.
15" GCHS C2R N WG Stryker was OHBoB.
15" GCH WG Lucie was Select Bitch.

13" CH WG Cady showed well.

Many thanks to Mary Cummings who is simply a rock star with all of my dogs; Robert Hallead who has made Lucie shine; Michelle Buman Nutter and Krystie Michelle for wrangling dogs, going back in on dogs, getting lots of coffee and for just being who you both are; and Kathy Reid for helping out with the cyclone of 15" Beagles! You all make the team what it is and WG Beagles would be lost without ya!

13" Cady Select & 15" Stryker OHBoB under Canadian judge Pamela Bruce, then Stryker went on to earn an OH G2 under respected judge David Miller.

Congratulations to Jeanette Hasenkamp and WG Azure (a GCH Carson daughter out of BISS BOSS GCHB WG Hunter).They came up to South Bend to show this weekend and were a fantastic team, getting WB each day for a point and BoW today under judge David Peat. So happy for this pair!

Back from the weekend of showing in Madison, OH - a venue I love dearly, right on Lake Erie. Despite the heat and last minute shuffles to accomodate recalcitrant motor coaches, I had a great time with Mary Cummings and Robert Hallead.

To summarize the week of showing . . .

13" CH WG Cady (WG Blink x WG Turley) was moved up and made her debut as my 13" Special this weekend. Each day, she was Select for a major and champions defeated. She is well on her way to her GCH. Cady is a Dexter and Link granddaughter.

13" WG Lyra (WG Maya x Xavier) was a super star going BoV from the puppy classes Saturday under judge Ken Chuah from Malaysia and Sunday under Michael Canalizo. She is now CH White Gloves Lure Of The Siren, pending AKC confirmation. She will be Mary's 13" Special.

15" WG Siren (WG Maya x Xavier) earned her first major and just needs one more and a few singlea to finish.

15" WG Taft (WG Maya x Xavier) finished on a major and pending AKC confirmation is CH White Gloves Fat Man In The Bathtub. Thank you Joan Wurst for bringing home the bacon on Taft!!

15" GCHB WG Vincent (WG Portia x Xavier) was BoV every day earning more breed points and made a great cut in a big, competitive Hound Group on Saturday. Mary Cummings has really bonded with him and they are an amazing team - he just lights up for her and it's showing.

15" GCHS Stryker (WG Maya x JJ) was Select dog each day earning more points towards his GCHG. He is such a pleasure to have and show.

15" GCH WG Lucie (WG Blink x WG Turley) was BoS or Select each day, showing beautifully under Robert's guidance and earning more points towards her GCHB.

Many, many thanks to all who helped us wrangle Beagles this weekend - especially Joan E. Wurst who had her own dogs to show and kindly jumped in to take pups back in.

Also, huge thanks to Robert and Mary for all of their fun, friendship and great handling of all my dogs. Couldn't do it without ya!

Pleased with this year's show crop.
GCHB White Gloves Vincent earned a HG4 under Charlie Olvis this past weekend, being beautifully presented by Mary Cummings.

CH White Gloves Lucie got mail and has officially earned her GCH at just 11 months old - when she bodies out, I think she will be awesome. Robert Hallead is doing a fabulous job of specialing her for me while I finish up the 2024 season with my 15" Special, Stryker who is the #5 ranked Owner Handled 15" Beagle as of the end of May.

13" Cady (Lucie's littermate) just finished her championship last weekend. She will be my 13" Special for next year.

It will be fun to Special sisters.

Day 4 of York . . . under judge Priscilla Gabosch:

Ursula was WB for a 5 point major. Pending AKC confirmation, I am proud to announce that she is now CH Green Acres Sea Glass - having finished her title in 3 weekends, all on majors. Huge congratulations to co-owner Kristy Powell Green - she's an awesome girl and lots of fun to show.

In other news . . .
Baby Taft who is 6 months and a thought old was WD and BoW for a 5 point major with Mary Cummings on the lead. He just gets better and better and I think may have a Specials career ahead of him.

Finally, Stryker took BoV and OHBoB, and went on to an OH G4. Robert Hallead took him in for regular groups and he showed so well - many thanks Robert - Stryker obviously had fun.

Congratulations to co-owner Kristy Powell Green on Ursula who just took her 2nd three-point major as WB, BoW and BoS. Ursula is by CH Mach (a Magnum son) out of CH Glass (a Pink daughter).

She's a lot of fun to show and just gets better and better each time.

On 24 January, Stryker achieved his AKC National Owner-Handled Series Gold level. As his success in the ring continues, we are striving to also achieve his AKC GCH Gold level. Amazing achievements for a dog who is only 2 years and 4 months old!

What a year it has been. In only 6 months of showing, beautiful Stryker moved into the #3 Owner Handled spot and earned an invitation to the AKC Owner Handled Finals. Today, he won his breed and then, under judge Dr. Daniel Dowling earned a Group 4 - out of 32 hound breeds being represented. I am just amazed with this little man.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without my wonderful friend and co-breeder Rachel Lucas and my entire cheering squad - Tina, Patricia, Mary & Jeanette - and everyone else who has supported us!

What a wonderful finish to a great show year!
