At The Slumber Shak we focus first on SAFETY and COMFORT but we also consider ways to make your pet’s stay FUN. We schedule individual play times in the yard for each family and treat breaks at midday. Every dog is also tucked in each night with a special Bone or Chewy.

We have tons of experience and offer specialty care for dogs who have behavioral challenges or medical issues.

Never believe that animals suffer less than humans. Pain is the same for them as it is for us. Even worse, because they cannot help themselves.

Did you know that I got my hopes up so high the other day when someone took me on a car ride, they took me to the pier, fed me the yummy snacks. I thought it was my chance I have been waiting for - I thought it the family and home that I have dreamt about for so long. Unfortunately, when we got back into the car, I looked out the window and realized I was headed back to the boarding place and it wasn't a forever ending I was hoping for. As my heart sank, the tears filled up my eyes and the lump in my throat set in, I realized that this is the reality I have to look forward too. I'm an amazing dog with the sweetest personality, I'm a total gentleman I just wish that someone would see that and take me home and actually mean it.

HEY HALLOWEEN WORLD! Let me introduce myself to you all. I'm Benny and I'm going to be a Pumpkin King for Halloween. Pumpkin King is the king of all pumpkins in the patch. I can't wait to show off my halloween costume to everyone in the neighborhood. My foster mom is working so hard on my costume but I can't wait.
