Let’s get those wheels spinning on this beautiful Monday morning.
Something we see very often in horses that we take in.
Does anyone know the reason behind these sunken orbital cavities above horses eyes? ❤️🩹🐎

Two sweet, new faces made their way into our rehabilitation program today.
Please welcome Dreamer (Pinto QH Mare) and Strutter (Chestnut QH Gelding) to Tiny Acres NWFL.
An urgent call for our help was made today and after meeting with these two in person, understanding the mares immediate need for help and the gelding not far behind her, we accepted them.
Dreamer and Strutter are getting settled in this evening and are the absolute sweetest. Dreamer’s situation is more urgent than Strutter but he isn’t too far behind her in regards to his deteriorating condition.
Both horses needs sponsors and funds so that we may get them on the path to recovery and happiness.
Dreamer and Strutter were owned by an individual who suffers from dementia, making it increasingly difficult to maintain proper care. An immediate family member reached out to get them into safe hands, and we know with our incredible community of supporters, you will not let us nor these two sweethearts down.
Would you like to make a difference for these two today?
If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution for either or both horses and their care or to sponsor, please see the links or button below.
All donations will go directly towards their refeeding and rehabilitative program which covers, feed, forage, farrier care, medication, supplements and veterinary care. ❤️🩹🐎🐎❤️🩹

One year ago today, Cheyenne’s cry for help was finally answered.
An extremely emaciated, senior mare found her safety and start to a bright new beginning after 17 months of our team attempting her rescue.
At 35 years of age then, she arrived weak, lethargic, but bright eyed. She eagerly jumped into the trailer and never looked back.
Blood results have shown no organ damage which is a true blessing prompting for a safe and healthy rehabilitation.
Today, this now 36 year old mare has gained over 400lbs, to include muscle and has filled out quite nicely.
Cheyenne is now sanctuaried with us for the remainder of her life and is such an incredible mare, so forgiving and appreciative.
Shame on those who harmed this innocent being. Used up and tossed away once the shine wore off. Unfortunately a very common issue that we see within the equestrian world.
Here’s to a happy, healthy new start to this once unwanted and unloved beautiful being.❤️🩹🐎👏🏼

We would like to take this moment to thank a few wonderful supporters for their generous donations towards our mission in rescue. 🐎💓
Thank you Cathy & Joseph for these much needed items from our Amazon Wishlist as well as to Wanda for stopping in with your donated tack items and monetary donation towards our herd!
Bless you all for your great, big hearts and continued support in our mission of equine rescue and welfare. ❤️🩹
Thank you Joseph for thinking of our barn cat Jax. She is so happy for her crunchy delivery. 🐈
Our friends at Tanglewood Farms in Milton just donated 80 bales of beautiful Coastal Bermuda hay to our herd!
Such an amazing connection to have made with these wonderful folks and to tour their gorgeous facility of beautifully kept pastures and horses!
This donation not only fills our herd tummy’s, it fills out hearts with gratitude.
Bless you all and thank you again. 🇺🇸🐎

Savior making exceptional progress this morning with his 2nd farrier trim, this time standing for a full trim with no problem. 👏🏼
Many horses that arrive into our care have trauma making basic handling and farrier trims very dangerous and difficult. Savior does have a traumatic past BUT he has not allowed for that to define him and has preserved under our care. ❤️🩹
Way to go Savior! We are so proud of your transition and progress since your arrival. 🤎🖤🤍
We also feel so blessed to have such a patient and encouraging farrier. That can certainly be hard to attain with rescue horses and farriers. 💓

Blackwater Blooms created an initiative - “The Bloom Project, a grassroots project seeking to reconnect people with the land through nature-based education, hands-on conservation, and community wellness.”
Make sure to check them out and learn more about their mission here locally. They are doing great things and we are happy to have them here in Milton! 🏞️🛶👏🏼

This handsome senior guy has his eye enucleation scheduled for September 25th.
Savior should have a significant reduction with the pain associated from his cancerous right eye.
Due to his easily burnt skin around both eyes, he does require a UV rated fly mask and SSD cream to keep any sunlight from potentially burning his exposed facial skin.
In conjunction with these necessities for his care, he also is on a daily dose of Piroxicam, both a anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer medication with his morning feed.
We want to take this moment to also thank everyone who donated towards or shared Saviors post asking to help us cover this upcoming surgical expense.
His surgery has been fully covered and he has also been sponsored for the month of September and also half of October!
Thank you again for showing Savior that he has a community willing to show up and support him, so that he may continue onward towards a healthier, happier and pain-free existence. 🐎❤️🩹💙
