A few good men and a much-needed resource for our mission in rescue.
Yesterday, our team was out in full force laying just over 700โ of brand new plumbing along with five yard hydrant installations throughout our pastures.
Since January (after the 12โ of snow) our water line to the barn busted and after a $6500 quote from a local business, we knew that this task needed to be repaired in-house.
Thank you to some amazing guys and gals for stepping up to complete this daunting task which will alleviate the need to constantly pull a 700โ fitting of hoses across our pasture twice a day.
This project has not only helped to save our backs, but also serves as a great morale boost and an exciting new resource.
Very special shoutout to a sweet volunteer and friend for sponsoring this entire project, allowing our organization to keep our funds focused on our largest expenses, feed, forage, and vet/medications.
Also thank you to this donor for feeding these hard and compassionate workers. It was a delicious treat!
This is such a sweet and heartwarming gift that will help us all. Bless you to this donor and to all who stepped up to help yesterday. We have quite an amazing team! Go team!!! ๐๐ผ โค๏ธโ๐ฉน๐to

Oftentimes we are seeking for those innocent souls who may need our rescuing hands, and other times they are searching for us to call home.
We feel this to be true with our latest case of intakes.
Mildred having endured so much remained sweet and resilient through it all.
Her path of heartbreak has lead her to one of healing and a very special donk friend to call her own; Ellie Mae. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

Please meet the three newest rescues to join our herd; Bonnie (Shetland mare - 30+ yrs) Mildred (Standard Jenny - 13 yrs) and Waylon (TWH Gelding - 20+ yrs)!
These three forgotten souls made their way into our care two weeks ago today through an active cruelty case in Santa Rosa County.
While we can officially introduce them to our supporters, we cannot provide any information pertaining to this case as it's currently ongoing.
These are just three of MANY animals who have all found safety from their now former cruel and heartless living conditions.
All have been seen by a veterinarian upon arriving at our facility, cleared from quarantine by the FL Dept of Agriculture, and are within our own quarantine now due to extremely high parasitic loads.
All three equines have bellies full of sand, but are currently being treated for this and are seemingly on the mend. They are on a forage-based diet and have already gained weight.
This is where your donations are going and why our mission is vital to our local and surrounding areas. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

Our sweet sanctuary resident Maggie Mae is taking her feel-good Friday seriously!
Our organization recently purchased a new product, the Equirelief 8-head massager for our herd and let me tell youโฆ. they sure love it!
Maggie was the guinea-pig tester to start it off and Iโm certain itโs a hit. Look at that relaxed little face and soft lick and chew of contentment. ๐โโ๏ธ ๐
We hope your Friday is as relaxing as Maggieโs.

A subtle reminder to ourselves in the line of work we do.
Special shoutout to a long-time supporter and now great friend Kristina for this amazingly perfect and compassionate gesture that youโve presented us with today.
Your support moves mountains and we are forever grateful for you.
This beautifully made piece will find its home within our barn for all of our volunteers, Board and visitors to see. A reminder that the love is always there even as those we love come and go.
We debated heavily on sharing this or not, however, after consideration, our Board of Directors determined that it needed to be shared in order to protect those who support non-profit organizations.
On November 6, 2025, one of our Board Members was made aware of another business, claiming as nonprofit in the Vernon area of FL to be utilizing our organizations photo of now our deceased rescue Maya to solicit funds for their business. Informing their followers and the public that the pictured horse would be arriving to them soon, but in the meantime, they were requiring, monetary, feed, forage and building supply donations.
A Board Member immediately reached out about the theft of the photo at which time the individual operating this business informed her that it was a misunderstanding on his part. He had been provided the photo and upon confrontation from our Board Member deleted the post immediately.
This owner, then reached out to our organization claiming that someone had provided the photo to him, and he never saw the horse in person. He provided a name to the supposed individual who provided the photo however, has since been unwilling to cooperate with our Board Member to settle this issue. Leading us to believe that this claim is not true.
We are sharing this with our beloved followers, donors/supporters as we do not want anyone to be duped by this business. To our knowledge, they are not a 501(c)3 or a registered nonprofit (legally able to solicit donations) through the State. We also cannot locate a business license for this ranch and โrescueโ.
This post serves as informative showcasing how not all businesses are equal and that not all claiming to be legitimate truly are. We advise heavily to always research these organizations, businesses and nonprofits before spending your hard-earned money there. We are not all the same, some are merely piggy-backing off of the hard work of others.
The photo stolen, was of our beloved Maya, the worst rescue case to date. Our organization assisted our local Santa Rosa County Animal Services with this case where she became fully rehabbed before suffering what we believe to have been a heart attack.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that our organization has been made aware of this businessses morally wrong practices. Since the confrontation, this business has made the effort to create fake reviews for their business showcasing their good efforts, even claiming with a self-written review that his own volunteer took the photo of the horse and he was awaiting a judge to sign off to acquire said horse. Having no idea that it was in-fact our Board Member that took that photo with our Director in the photo holding Maya where all photos taken are time-stamped just for situations like this. Funny how the story changed.
Please do your research. If it seems fishy, it likely is.

Dreamer is steadily gaining, even in her very aged state.
Two months since this beautiful mare, once deprived of all that she needed is now 152lbs gained!
Dreamer will be recieving a dental and blood work at her next appointment which will make it even easier on her with eating. Now that she is stronger and healthier, a dental will be safer for her whereas she was too weak with no fat upon arrival.
Not bad for a super senior. Anything is possible under the right care and appropriate plan in place.
Thank you all for making Dreamers dream of a better and kinder world for her come to life. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

Itโs about that time for do you, or do you not blanket your horse conversations.
Our short answer to this is, do what you want. You know your horse better than anyone.
Donโt let the keyboard warriors try and label you this or that, right or wrong because you opt in or out of blanketing during colder weather.
We have many that we blanket and some that we donโt.
Seniors, PPID, arthritic and horses being treated for emaciation are our go-tos for blanketing.
Some horses with thicker, healthy coats may not need blanketing, while others just alike may shiver with the dropping temps.
Again, ONLY YOU know your horse best, so do what you believe is right by your equine. โฅ๏ธ๐๐๐ผ
