Are you looking for a friend who doesn't judge? Then come on down to PetSmart this weekend! Our puppies and doggies don't care what your hair looks like or if your shirt is wrinkled. They just want a loving family to call their own! Maybe that could be you!

UPDATE 1/5/2026 - This sweet pup is being loved on by shelter staff and is safe. She is currently on stray hold and we believe she is around 5 years old.

We know this kind of situation can bring out a lot of emotions - we experience them ourselves - and we appreciate how much our community cares about animals. At this time, we do not know what led to this dog being left at our shelter. While abandonment is a possibility, it’s also possible someone was trying to ensure she was found and safe during a difficult moment, and yes, even with a blanket and a bowl.

What matters most is that she is now safe, warm, and receiving care. We ask for compassion as we focus on her well-being. Thank you for continuing to support our shelter and the animals we serve.

Situations involving pets are often complex, and kindness goes a long way as we work together as a community to help those who cannot speak for themselves.

We have found your lost dog! Unfortunately, she was found tied to the stop sign in our parking lot yesterday morning. We know she comes from a loving family that has to be missing her as much as she is really missing them! If this is your dog, she is currently with us safe away from the elements. Although she is extremely sweet, we would like for her to make her way back to her loving family!

2025 End of Year Outcomes Update 🐾
We’re proud to share with you our year end outcome numbers thanks to the tremendous work from our staff and community!
At least 1,611 animals have found their fur ever homes and 358 pets returned to their owners! In addition, 1,200 pets have been serviced or transferred out. 🏡 Your support helps us ensure that every animal gets the second chance they deserve. 🐶🐱

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
To maintain a “No-Kill” status, first awarded in 2019, our shelter must provide a 90% positive outcome for all animals in its care. Therefore, only 10% or less of all outcomes are negative, meaning animals 'crossing the rainbow bridge.' This accounts for passing due to illness, injury, complications during or after surgery, and humane euthanasia.
Dogs that are humanely euthanized due to behavioral issues or bite history have undergone a series of rigorous behavioral testing before they are deemed unsafe to be adopted by the general public.
Animals who have spent an extensive amount of time in a shelter may begin to exhibit behavioral issues due to environmental stress. This is why we highly encourage fostering and removing animals from this environment.
As always, we prioritize the safety of our community and its most vulnerable animals.
