Tier 1 Foundation Dog® testing is complete on the Chaos/Dark and Slash/Maker litters. 20 out of 21 dogs passed all 4 functions for tracking, scent detection, protection and advanced obedience.

One puppy did not bite under pressure and has 1 week remedial training otherwise it will move forward in 3 functions of advanced obedience, tracking and scent detection.

7 trainers certified yesterday as Tier 1 Foundation Dog® Trainers
13 trainers had their puppies certified Tier 1 Foundation Dogs®

Now we begin Tier 2 Training and in 4 weeks, we will test all 21 puppies and their trainers.

Tier 3 will be during December and certification at Tier 3 level will be before the New Year.

Litters on the Ground anticipated for December 25th with GSD Bea/Turbo breeding. We anticipate 6-8 German Shepherd puppies and they will begin Tier 1 training March 1st, 2025.

My 2 pups just entered Tier 2 of the Foundation Dog® Training.

The rest of the pack will be tested this week. 21 puppies, all being trained at the same time using the same training system, by 13 trainers, in 6 states. We meet live online every Saturday to see the progress.

Capone and MJ are 2 of the best puppies I have ever had the honor of training. Their drives and dispositions are spot on. MJ is a tad more compliant than Capone so I even get a snuggle buddy out of the deal!

Bite and prey development: Crazy strong bites, neither mess around. Deep and full from the git takes a lot to make them need a re-bite, but you hear the re-bite when they take it. No fear, both handle pressure consistently.

Tracking: Both dogs doing up to 100 foot tracks with turns and zig zags. We have not missed a single day of tracking.

Scent work: Recognizing target odor, alerts have begun

Obedience: Just moved to pinch collar and duration began immediately. Finger hold at 5 seconds (should hit 10 by Friday).

This means that Capone and MJ are officially Tier 1 Certified Foundation Dogs®. Training continues and Tier 2 testing must be completed on or before November 30th and Tier 3 on or before December 30th.

The timing is perfect as the GSD litter should be on the ground around Christmas time with new pups starting the program March 1st 2025.

Second tie of Bea/Turbo was a success!

Very excited to see what these 2 high level working GSDs produce.

Each tier of completion includes a certification test for that level. Tracking, scent detection, protection and advanced obedience. You buy the training package and the dog is included.

Tier 1: 12 weeks old: Straight line tracking, biting/re-biting under pressure, finding odor, soliciting obedience positions.

Tier 2: 16 weeks old: Tracking turns and indicating on articles, protecting handler, discerning between hides, obedience with duration.

Tier 3: 20 weeks old: 3rd party tracking, odor detection in buildings and cars, biting suit with out command, off leash obedience with distractions.

Just got a preliminary buyer for the 4 remaining pups certified through Foundation Dog Tier 3.

That means, 21 training packages that include the pups...sold out with the first litter at 9 1/2 weeks old and the second litter at 8 weeks old. Every puppy is in the Top Tier K9 Foundation Dog Training program with 13 Master dog trainers working those puppies.

Looks like we will add a Mal/Dutchie litter to November along with the GSD litter.

Certified Level 2 franchises can buy puppies and do the training themselves.

Clients can buy a Tier level 1, 2, 3, or 4 certified training package and participate in the training every Saturday during Zoom as they watch Master dog trainers prepare their pups in tracking, scent detection, protection and advanced obedience.

I wanted to take a 4 week break from pet training while we focus on the puppies, but got 3 new pets coming in over the last 24 hours. I can't say no to folks who need our help.

Great results from the current litters on the ground program.

Only 4 out of 21 pups will remain on campus to be finished as service dogs, protection dogs and special security dogs.

All puppies and 13 trainers are live online every Saturday for us to assist in their application of the Foundation Dog Training program.

100% are being trained in tracking, scent detection, protection and advanced obedience.

100%, both litters, every puppy is biting on the wall. We have done that once before with a litter, not 2 litters with 100% of both litters handing the pressure, biting and re-biting is simply setting a new standard for our breeding program.

Bea - GSD is in heat and we will be attempting the tie with Turbo-GSD over the next week to 10 days. We will announce once the tie has been completed.

The 2024 "Making Strides" American Cancer Society event in Tallahassee Florida was a huge success.

The value of a dog, a K9 companion, a battle buddy, is not only in it's ability to detect, but the dog's loyalty and dedication to our happiness. It was one heck of an event. First time we ran out of trifolds!

Thank you Alyssa Browning, Dean Weaver, Alexia Barquet, and Paige Hagberg for working so hard to make this a success.

Mission Accomplished! The dogs (and 2 Chaos pups) are in the hands of Julie Madison. Veterans are all meeting at her facility Sunday to begin their hands-on work.

Now I can focus on Sunday in Tallahassee Florida with the American Cancer Society and the "Making Strides for a Cure" against breast cancer.

Will be discussing our scent detection program and how it relates to dogs hunting for and indicating on cancer cells. Plus we will be providing evaluations for pet training.

No rest for the weary!

Delivering the 7 dogs for 7 Veterans today. The process had a slight interruption due to the hurricane as the hub for all the work is at Top Tier K9 - Bradenton.

Thank you to Ms. Julie Madison for making this year's program come together! Julie lined up the veterans and developed the relationship with Canines 4 Heroes who raised the funds for it all to happen. Canines 4 Heroes applies 100% of their funding to their mission. For those in the service dog community, you realize how important that is. Top Tier K9 provided a 50% in-kind match.

The veterans received their training through the Top Tier K9 Academy for Dog Trainers and will perform their hands-on work with Julie at her Top Tier K9 Certified Location, applying what they learned online with their local Certified Master Dog Trainer in their own community.

Julie will provide ongoing support through weekly private lessons and group classes allowing the veterans to bond with their dogs and apply their training.

This is the first time we have been able to coordinate the entire program within a single community and is the model for our future work. Having a Certified Master Dog Trainer in the local community so the veterans have ongoing support, a training program that prepares the veterans to take their dogs to the next level, whatever level they desire, and a charity that puts 100% of the funding into their own community allows our model to be applied at any of our level 2 franchise locations.

7 veterans are being served at the industry average price of less than 2 dogs. This is the model that will change the service dog industry. Both for disabled veterans and first responders, as well as dogs for all those with disabilities who would benefit from community-based support delivered by the world's greatest dog training company.

It's been a hell of a journey to get to this point. Constant improvement, a professional network, and unwavering support of staff, interns, students, and dedicated franchise owners. The work on the dogs was accomplished primarily by Ms. Alyssa Browning who oversees all of the Top Tier K9 efforts and is the backbone of the company. Ms. Bridget Weidner, Ms. Madison Stafford. Ms. Alexia Barquet, Ms. Paige Hagberg, and Mr. Dean Weaver have worked diligently to have the dogs ready to deploy.

Join us next Sunday (October 20, 2024) at Cascade Park, 1001 S Gadsden St., Tallahassee, FL, for the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides for a Cure" event.

Top Tier K9 will be centerstage from 2-2:15 with a presentation on our cancer detection capabilities in our Special Security Dog finishing program for Tier 3 certified Foundation Dogs.

We will also be conducting pet evaluations throughout the program as a corporate sponsor.

Our Top Tier K9 - Tallahassee training facility is just 1 mile from the event.

Last year there were 3300 people in attendance with half bringing their dogs for walks.

We will start at the stage in the amphitheater at 2pm for the presentations. The walk is from 3-4pm.

Let's get together and help with research and support to help fight breast cancer for the women we love. Our 2024 contributions are made in honor of Mr. Duane Pickle (rest in peace brother) the man who trained the world's first cancer-detection dog, an instructor for the Top Tier K9 Academy for Dog Trainers, and my mentor in the training of the world's first COVID-19 detection dog.

Starting my second puppy next week in the Foundation Dog® training program. Been working with MJ (Tonic) for about a week and Capone joins the pack next week.

Seeing MJ start to bond with me as his pack and absolutely flourish in the Tier 1 challenges has been very uplifting to my spirit. He is now on the right path at only 8 weeks old to be all he can be as a working dog.

Helping the other trainers is very rewarding to me as well. I have always been a teacher, first and foremost, since I began my Military career at 18 years old.

I am at the pinnacle of a fully developed human training program that teaches others how to apply a fully developed dog training program, to the benefit of the dogs. This "system" has greatly tapped my background in systems design and development. This year caps the first round of the fully developed educational system that teaches others how to teach trainers how to train dogs in a replicable, scalable process.

All 21 puppies from our breeding program have a Master dog trainer working with them (13 trainers), with real-time support of their efforts. I have the privilege of watching my students train the puppies through the system of Foundation Dog® training.

4 years ago, Alyssa Browning applied the system, basically by herself, with 33 puppies (I helped, we debate on the "how much" I helped 😂) and this cycle she has 2. She will be providing level 1 support to all other trainers and one on one support to our 3 interns as they seek to obtain their certifications as Foundation Dog Trainers.

Feedback from our quality control processes will help us determine the best sires and dams for our breeding program. Each breeding is a new project and the outcome feeds the Foundation Dog Trainer and Foundation Dog Training programs. What other breeder gets real data and quality feedback from working dog training of 100% of their litters? I will save you time, only the Top Tier K9 Litters on the Ground program has that.

We train pets for our clients using a modified version of the Foundation Dog program with all of our franchises certified through that program as well.
