Please be aware that we will be closed the rest of the week. I apologize for this inconvenience, but unfortunately, I did end up with quite a bit of damage on my farm and I have not yet had the ability to drive and take stock of whether or not our water pipes at the shop have been damaged as well. I have multiple make up days that I blocked off specifically because of the storm for next week so you will not have to wait multiple weeks for an appointment. Again I’m truly am sorry for this inconvenience, but unfortunately, this was unprecedented and I need a few days to check and make repairs. - Daisy

We are currently at 6 to 7 inches of snow here at my property! I would love to see any photos of your fur babies discovering the joy of snow if you have them. Our horses and dogs are having the time of their lives! We will be closed until Thursday. I have no clue how this snow will affect anything here or anything at the shop since I’m unable to check on it. If for some reason we need to reschedule Thursday’s appointments I have a make up day available for next week.

I will drive to work in a rainstorm , low grade hurricane, flash flood, and in the middle of the night if any of you truly needed me to do so but I unfortunately lack the confidence and skill to even dream about safely driving on ice. To protect everyone else out on the road from the hazard that I call myself , Tuesday and Wednesday for this upcoming week will be closed. I have already contacted everyone and rescheduled anyone this could effect. ❤️

Pricing update
At this time I don’t see a legitimate reason to increase prices so far this year. Yes cost of supplies has gone up but the few dollars increase doesn’t justify a $5/$10 per dog change yet. I understand as much as anybody cost of living has gone up and if I can help it, I won’t be making it any harder to afford your pet.

The only update is that I can no longer offer discounts for large dogs that take 2-4+ hours to groom due to handscissor work, matting, compacted undercoat, or extremely poor behavior. Unfortunately I have to start charging my advertised prices going forward due to the amount of labor being provided. This change will only affect a few and not the many since most of my clients don’t fall into any of those categories.

1/3/25 Sheduling Update with the appointments I just added for next week. We were booked until the 17th before this change. Please pre-book. This truly isn’t that many appointments left. Large dogs take up two appointment slots which can quickly make a schedule booked. I also have a good bit of multi dog families. Today I booked 10 appointments and I get calls every day. I want my regulars to have every opportunity to get in on time before anyone else.

Groom #108 brings my month of December to a finish. Thankyou to all 108 clients who were patient and kind during the Christmas rush. To everyone who brought me food, cards, and gifts I appreciated them so much. I especially enjoy the cards because I collect them every year for collage project. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Just a heads up for the time being you will not be able to access my shop via Elva Street. You will have to get to the shop from HWY 90/ Caroline Street. Due to the amount of deep potholes and the city choosing to no longer help maintain our roads for the last two years they have become too large of a hazard and the only way to prevent them from becoming worse is to simply block off access to cut-through traffic. This was not my decision but my neighbors and I don’t have a solution at hand to currently stop this and I also understand where they are coming from. I apologize for the inconvenience this might bring a few clients. I myself use Elva everyday to come and get home from the shop. I know I will lose some business from this but I’m hoping most of you will still find it worth it.

I just wanted to post notice that the shop is closed today. I unfortunately have had an unexpected medical problem occur while working and had to reschedule everyone left for today. I apologize for the inconvenience this brought anyone as I absolutely hate disappointing clients, especially around the holidays.

Reminder the shop always closes from Dec 25th - Jan 1st. Please prebook your appointments if you need to get in before this time or directly after. It varies from year to year but the last two years I did not have a slow period directly after the Christmas break and didn’t hit that new year lag until February. I believe I’m looking at the same trend occurring this year as well so book accordingly if you need a specific day and time ❤️
