This weekend I attended the wedding of the paw-rents of Jayce, George & Ekko who I have been taking care of for nearly 3 years.
That's me holding photos of Jayce, George & Ekko. πβπ¦ΊπΎπΎπΎπββ¬πββ¬πΎπΎπ
I strongly believe that animals, especially our pets, are brought into our lives to teach us things we need to learn. Often, we learn from each other and we need each other.
When I met Jayce he wouldn't approach me even for a treat, he was anxious and jumpy. I manage anxiety and trauma of my own. I was able to connect that much easier with Jayce because I understood my own anxiety and trauma and I could be sensitive to his. Now, I get hugs, cuddles and kisses from Jayce. Jayce has taught me that it's good to be vulnerable, that we can relate to each other.
When I first met George I was a bit unsure and afraid of cats. I had never learned their language. George is one of the most affectionate, loving and intuitive cats that I've ever met. He's now one of my very best cat friends. With most cats and especially George, I'm no longer afraid or unsure. Now, I look forward to seeing George. George has taught me joy and a willingness to learn.
Ekko is a cat that tends to hide. But a few times she's come out to see me. She's even let me pet her briefly. It was such a wonderful moment of trust and connection. Ekko has taught me patience and understanding.
Big congratulations to K & P on a beautiful wedding! Thank you for including me in your celebration! It was an absolute lovely time! The love, respect and care between the two of you is so evident and clear. So proud of you and so proud to be a part of your celebration. It's a privilege and a pleasure to be a little part of your family. πΆβ€οΈπββ¬β€οΈπββ¬β€οΈ
