Since the first spawn, I took care of their eggs; painstakingly taking out every bits of fungus once it grows, and everytime all the eggs go bad. I left their latest batch to fungus away and went to Minnesota, after coming back expecting the whole batch to waste away, I discovered a very small percentage of eggs made it to wigglers. We'll see how these ungrateful fish turn out for this project -if it's even worth it.

I've decided to let go of the current blue zebra half-black project as the male is infertile, however, I'll still be searching for other half-black bloodlines to work with this project. I've replaced him with this unproven guy. The picture is of his left and right side. Hopefully he's much more fertile than the half-black. He was my backup side project and now I'm using him as my main. This is just to restock blues as having only one blue female in the fish room is kinda scary. I've received numerous inquiries regarding availability, but unfortunately, I don't have any stock at the moment. Due to life and family obligations taking precedence, my breeding efforts have been temporarily hindered. However, I will attempt breeding with this batch. This pair has successfully bred for me in the past and carries blue, Bulgarian green, and surprisingly albino, which I honestly do not know the origin of. As a breeder, I should have in-depth knowledge of these fish, but there's always room for surprises for outcross to outside unfamiliar bloodline to bring in new genes that the original bloodline does not already have. For my breeding program I am at the clean-up process f2 with these eggs. Hopefully, I'll have some available soon. I'll keep everyone updated.

How's everyone doing? Finally an update of our angelfish breeding project! First off I want to shoutout to Joe Boston for being a great friend for preserving and returning my bloodline back to me after I lost it. I'll be upgrading this bloodline by infusing it to an imported half-black bloodline. Sure he's not perfect with an obvious defect but that's what breeders do, get rid of them through breeding. Ultimately creating blue zebra half-black veil, hopefully the offsprings retain the swallow tail and red-eye trait.
