🚨IMPORTANT MICROCHIP UPDATE!!!!!🚨

The Save This Life microchip company has shut down and unlinked its entire database from the national registry. This means if your pet’s microchip was registered with them, scanning it will NOT bring up your owner information anymore.

If your pet's microchip number starts with either 991 or 900164, then you have one of Save This Life’s microchips, according to Save This Life’s website.

If your pet’s microchip was registered with Save This Life, you will need to re-register with a different company. Here are some options:

HomeAgain.com
AKCReunite.org

If you’re unsure whether your pet has a microchip, your vet can quickly scan them to check. If a chip is present, it will display a unique ID number.

Keeping your pet’s microchip information current is essential for their return.

You can scan your pet to get the current number and register them with the above sites! Be sure to triple-check the information entered for errors or typos before saving with the new company and keep a record of your dog's chip number. And always update once you adopt a pet and check still as errors do happen and your information may not be correct or their chip may have never been registered at all! Important to always check!

If your pup was microchipped by us at Billy’s Posse we do not use this company so your pup's chips are not affected.

PLEASE READ: We came up with a really good idea last night (one I wish we would have thought of sooner) but maybe because it was a Saturday night? it didn't land, but its so good, we're going to try it again - if you s/hare/d this p|ost on your feed and said, "If I give $10 to this kitty's medical bills, will you?" do you think you would have one friend among your hundreds that would also give? We are attempting a matching-donation-drive for our Daniel Striped Tiger to cover his rather large vet bill and do it in a fashion inspired by his "match" to his buddy Zero seen in this photo with him to not only fast-track our fundraising, but also bring more awareness to our organization. We desperately need more engagement and help with this work. Please - will your cast your net out to your circle? Animal lovers usually associate with other animal lovers. YOUR facebook friends are a perfect audience to help us gain more support.

(thank you, Andrew!) so we're at $934.80 left to raise in total and our goal is 8 days to raise it (we have Hendrix's dental specialist consultation tomorrow, Tiny Biscuits had her cardiology visit last week - we're slipping behind). This is Taz. One of our customers found him on New Years Day as a stray in a field and is up for adoption through HAWS. He is a super sweet dog who loves to give kisses to everyone he meets. Taz is very people oriented and is a great walker on a leash. We hope he gets to find a furever home soon.

Due to incredible demand, we've had to close the contest just 48 hours after it launched, raising roughly $25,000 for the animals 🤯🤯 We are truly blown away and can't thank you all enough!! We have received nearly 900 entries across our pages, and our artists are working hard to ensure we're able to get masterpieces back to everyone who has submitted 🤍
If you haven't received your art yet, hang tight! With roughly 100 artists volunteering their time with varying schedules, you may see art posted to others before yours arrives, but rest assured we're tracking each and every assignment and we will ensure every single piece gets where it needs to go. Here’s the deal: If you donate $25 to the animals at WHS, we’ll draw your pet. The catch? We’re a whole lot better at caring for animals than we are at drawing them 🤷‍♀️
We have a pool of staff and volunteers standing by, eager to turn your animal into a timeless work of art (or at least make you laugh). You *might* get one of our extremely talented artists, but we’ll be honest… you’ll probably get someone who can’t draw their way out of a paper bag. WHS serves 40,000 animals every year and we rely on donations to make that work possible, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun while we raise those funds!
