Meet Theo in our latest Dogs of Downtown feature! Theo is originally from Tennessee, where he was rescued alongside 16 other puppies from his litter. While Theo’s breed is unknown, one thing is for sure: he’s a total love bug and a bit of a talker too!

5 Developments Aiming to help Milwaukee thrive in 2025:
#2. New dog park in Milwaukee's Downtown/Third Ward

"The much-anticipated 22,000-square-foot dog park will be built beneath the I-794 freeway. The dog park will feature synthetic turf; an irrigation system; two separate areas for big and small dogs; water stations; public art; and RiverWalk access. Plus, next to the park will be the Foxtown Landing development that includes a restaurant and brewery taproom..."

We are closing out the year with exciting momentum! Thanks to all of your support, we took major steps forward in 2024, including hosting the official groundbreaking on Downtown’s dog park! We were also so honored to have earned a Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 Achievement Award for our progress! 🥇

Downtown’s first dog park 🐶 is excited to announce that is a recipient of a Milwaukee Urban Forestry Grant 🌲from ! Thank you to all of those that joined us last week for the ceremonial tree planting celebration.

The grant will fund the 30 trees being added to the site! 🐾 “The Urban Forestry Fund is excited to add to the urban tree canopy and a downtown community greenspace - all of which will lead to happier dogs and their owners!”

Join us this Saturday, 10/19, at Catalano Square in the Third Ward 11-3 for Dogs Welcome 🐾

Almost all of our 37 artworks on view are outdoors, which, according to our logic makes us the most dog friendly art exhibition in all of Milwaukee 🐶

We love our furry friends and encourage you to bring your friendly dogs (and other non-human companions) on a walking tour of contemporary art downtown.

We will be giving away goodies from , , , , and more!!

The asynchronous tour starts/stops in Catalano Square and will take you past these great works by Paul Druecke, Pao Hao Her, Michelle Grabner, Teresa Baker, Nat Pyper, and Isamu Noguchi.

Along the route you’ll have a chance to meet dogs from the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission and learn about the NEW Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park that just broke ground.

The weather will be impeccable. Take an enriching walk for you and your best friend 🐾💛
