🐾 Meet Reba! 🐾

This sweet girl is 2 ½ years old and was a wonderful mom to 4 adorable kittens.

Reba is playful, curious, and super sweet, though she can be a little shy at first. She’s looking for a calm home—no dogs or small kids under age 7, please. She does get along with other cats and would love a feline friend to share her space.

Meet Tamyln24! Tamlyn is a 5-month-old female tuxedo patiently waiting for her forever home... Tamyln is a sweet, playful kitten, but she is a bit shy. She is good with other cats and kittens, but a dog might scare her.

Tamlyn loves to play with feather toys and craves attention! Due to her shy nature, it is best she doesn't go to a home with young children under age 9. Her two sisters were recently adopted, so now she is all alone... Please come see her!!!

Second Hand Purrs, 4300 South Howell Avenue in Milwaukee. We are open Thursdays, 6pm to 9pm, and Saturdays, 10am to 3pm.

1-15 Update: A HUGE thank you to everyone who is sending us litter!!! Judging from all the comments, it appears we should receive enough to last until our large litter order comes in a month!!! Our kitties meow their thanks!!!

📣ATTENTION!!! We need YOUR HELP!!!! Our shelter is very, very low on clay cat litter!!

Our large cat litter order will not arrive until early or mid-February. We will be running out VERY SOON!!!

Please help by donating clay cat litter to our shelter. We are not fussy about the brand, but Woodman's, Meijers, Farm and Fleet, and Wal-mart are good sources for clay cat litter.

*Please limit it to 25 pound bags or less.*

Orders from Chewy.com delivered to our shelter are welcome, but again, please 25 pound bags or less. Our volunteers cannot lift the heavier bags.

It’s CATURDAY! Wakey wakey you purr loving pals. Today we swing open the front door to let the cool folks in from 10am-3pm. Everyone has their best smiles on, ready for adoption!

We are ONLY fueled my caffeinated volunteers, so every donation is greatly appreciated!!!

Budget friendly donations that we love are:

Clay Cat litter (VERY much needed!!!)
Clorox wipes (NO Lysol or generic wipes please)
Drawstring Garbage bags (30 gallon)
Antibacterial Hand Soap and Dish Soap
Paper Towels
Bleach - must contain at least 5% sodium hypochlorite - Woodman's has it on sale! (no scented, gel, or splashless bleach)
High Efficiency Laundry Soap *(HE)*

Our dear Trudie just spent 5 days in the ER... She is in kidney disease, and she stopped eating and drinking. Thankfully, the ER was able to save her life, and she is now on a strict regimen at the shelter to prevent this from happening again. But of course we have a HUGE vet bill to pay.... Please consider donating to us to help pay her vet bill! Even $5 or $10 helps!! And please SHARE this post!!!

Meet Nyssa24! Nyssa is an orange-and-white female kitten available for adoption at our shelter. At 7 months old, Nyssa is very playful and spunky, likes to be pet, and is a sweet girl, but she doesn't care for being handled much. All of her siblings have since been adopted, and she is the only one still in need of a home...

Nyssa is good with other cats and likely will be fine with cat-friendly dogs. Due to her energetic nature, it is best she doesn't go to a home with children under age 13. Nyssa is spayed and has all her shots, and she is waiting for her forever home!
