Meet Mandi, a dedicated and passionate vet tech who's been making a difference in the field for 3 ½ years. At home, she enjoys life with her supportive husband and adorable 2-year-old daughter, along with their two lovable Labrador retrievers and a brood of clucky chickens. Mandi's love for animals is truly lifelong, having started horseback riding at the tender age of 7! For the past 5 years, she has also opened her heart and home as a foster parent for dogs in need. Her compassion and dedication make her a shining star in our veterinary community.

Meet Lisa, an amazing Certified Veterinary Technician who has been making a difference in the veterinary field since 2005! When she's not caring for her furry patients, she dedicates her time to being a full-time caregiver for her elderly mother and looking after her beloved inheritance dog, Brownie! Lisa also has a creative side, enjoying pyrography and arts and crafts whenever she gets the chance. And here’s a fun fact: she's a seasonal Krampus performer with the Milwaukee Krampus Eigenheit and the Original Milwaukee Krampusnacht Festival!

Meet Ashley, one of our most dedicated and versatile veterinary technicians! With over a decade of experience in both emergency and general practice, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Ashley is not only skilled but also bubbly and positive, always lifting the spirits of those around her. Outside of work, she is a fantastic mom to her neurodivergent daughter and balances family life with her husband, two crazy dogs, and three outgoing orange cats. In her free time, Ashley loves going thrifting, hunting for unique treasures and adding a personal touch to her home (and the clinic).

These dedicated professionals work tirelessly alongside veterinarians to provide excellent care, often going above and beyond to ensure the comfort and safety of their patients. By acknowledging their hard work and commitment, we not only show appreciation but also raise awareness of the profession, encouraging others to consider it as a career path. Celebrating Vet Tech Week is a way to express gratitude for their compassion, expertise, and the critical support they provide in veterinary settings. With over 11 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery, he’s passionate about providing top-notch care for pets. Exciting news! We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Steve Xiong to St. Francis Animal Hospital! 🐾 Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dr. Xiong is a HUGE Packers fan! He earned his Bachelor's in Zoology and his Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in May 2024. When he’s not caring for animals, he enjoys camping, hiking, and fishing with his hound mix, Buggins. Fun fact: he aims to visit every national park in the U.S. (Glacier National Park is his favorite)!

A friendly reminder that our hospital will be closed tomorrow, July 4th.

As we gather to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, let's not forget our furry companions! Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and calm during the festivities:

🎇 Create a Safe Space: Make sure your pets have a quiet, comfortable place to retreat away from the noise.
🐶 Keep Them Indoors: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep them indoors and secure windows and doors.
🐱 Update ID Tags: Ensure your pets' ID tags and microchip information are up to date, just in case they get scared and run off.
🐾 Avoid Fireworks: Never use fireworks around pets. They can cause severe burns and trauma.
🎆 Watch the BBQ: Be mindful of what your pets eat. Certain foods can be harmful to them.
