This snuggly girl is looking for her forever home! Sparrow is an 8 week old tabby with a cute little black spot on her nose. She wants to be on your lap snuggling or hanging out with you while you’re doing things around the house. She’s brave, social, and friendly with every person and animal she meets. Sparrow will be the perfect companion for you!

Sparrow was born at the end of April 2024. She and her sisters, Finch and Dove, were rescued from a hoarding situation and were brought to JPAR to be vetted and find loving homes.

This sweet 8 week old girl has a huge personality and loves attention! She is always exploring new places and is becoming friends with her foster parents' resident dog. She's always found with her little sister, Dove, right behind her. We would love to see them go to a new home together!

Finch, Sparrow, and Dove ❤️🕊️

These three girls are 7 weeks old and love to cuddle and play! This litter is very brave and curious about their environment. They were rescued from a hoarding situation by a good samaritan and brought to Jack’s Playground earlier this week.

We’ve got kittens! Dove, Finch, and Sparrow are three sisters who were rescued from a hoarding situation. Here they are getting a nice bath- that they don’t appreciate 🥰 We’ll post more information once they go to the vet ❤️🐱

This is Dusty, one of our neonatal kittens. Here’s a comparison of 2 vs 3 weeks old! At this age, his little teeth are starting to come in and he will start exploring the litter box and learning how to play. 🥰🍼

We’re on the hunt for foster families! At Jack’s Playground, we take in a variety of pets in need. We need your help as a foster-based rescue to keep these pets off the streets and somewhere safe they can stay until we find their forever home. We are also looking for families that would like to foster our bottle babies after they’re weaned from the bottle, until they are old enough to be adopted! We just picked up a pair of orphaned 2 week old kittens! The grey is a boy, and the black and white is a girl.

Since they are so young, they will need to be bottle fed every 3 hours!

This is Scooter, our paralyzed kitten, snuggling up with Mila, a 4 year old who says she wants to be a cat doctor when she grows up. ❤️🥰

One of the most important parts of fostering young animals is socializing them. It’s good to provide them with lots of positive experiences at a young age, so they are prepared for whatever they encounter as an adult cat. That means safely introducing them to children, hearing loud noises such as a vacuum, and even letting them be near dogs or other animals that might live in their future forever home.

This little orange fluff is playful and super curious about the world. He loves to play with his teaser toys and chase glitter balls around on the floor. He would make a great little brother to a current house cat!

Introducing August!

August is a 10 week old male kitten who was surrendered to us by a previous owner. He had his first vet visit today and got a clean bill of health (and a LOT of snuggles). Under all that orange fluff is a little kitten who only weighs 2.5 lbs!

August was previously thought to be a girl and was named April Mae- but once surrendered we realized she was a little boy! He will be up for adoption once he is fully vaccinated ❤️

Today we are building Scooter his very first wheelchair! Due to his small size we are utilizing PVC piping. This way, since he is a growing kitten, we can easily replace parts and make things longer as he gets bigger.

This is still a work in progress and we will be sure to post updates when he tries it and starts to understand how to move with it!

Scooter’s acupuncture appointment! He is such a good boy.

Acupuncture is an great solution when treating paralysis issues in cats and can help improve mobility and functionality of muscles that may not be working correctly.

Scooter update!

Yesterday Scooter had a big day! Not only did he get some blood work done at the vet, but he was healthy enough to receive his very first vaccine-his FVRCP shot.

Although he is an indoor only cat, serious feline conditions can live for up to a year on surfaces. That means that if your indoor cat sneaks out the door even for just a minute they are at risk of coming in contact with the virus, and becoming sick.

The FVRCP vaccine is an extremely effective way to protect cats against 3 highly contagious and life-threatening feline diseases, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (that’s the FVR), Feline Calicivirus (the C), and Feline Panleukopenia (the P).

Scooter and one of our resident dogs, Nala. There are so many benefits to exposing young (healthy) kittens to other species when socializing. Nala has a very relaxed demeanor when it comes to small animals in our home, and is a great dog to use when testing how a cat or kitten will respond to seeing a dog for the first time. Scooter- our fearless paralyzed kitten was not fearful of her and has decided that she is way better to lay on than a boring cat bed. 😅 Socializing kittens is one of the most important steps when fostering. By exposing them to new things at a young age, it can reduce the risk of developing a fearful behavior as they mature.

Hi! This is Jingles- a 5 month old kitten who is looking for his forever home! We are up to date on vaccines and scheduled to be neutered in March. Jingles would thrive in a home with another cat or kitten around his age. He could live with a dog but would do best without young children.

Hi friends! My name is Jess and I am the founder of Jack’s Playground Animal Rescue. I am 25 and live in the Milwaukee area. I have always had a strong love for animals and work in the veterinary field. My partner and I have 3 rescue dogs- a pit bull, lab, and pit mix. Over the last few years, I’ve fostered a variety of furry friends and realized this is what I was made to do- love and care for animals. I believe that every pet deserves a second chance at life, and that is what Jack’s Playground is here to do.

I chose the name “Jack’s Playground” to memorialize a rescue kitten who was so special to us, and sadly lost too soon. Jack was the sweetest boy, who loved helping socialize and care for new foster kittens. Even the teeniest bottle-babies were welcomed into our home by Jack’s snuggles. Without him here to groom the new babies for us, we knew immediately that we wanted to keep his spirit and his love for new friends at the center of both our mission and our hearts.

PUPDATE- Apollo was adopted over Thanksgiving. This pup was one from our rescued litter back in. October. Apollo is now 60 lbs and still growing! He loves to snuggle with his momma and go for car rides to play with his doggy friends. ❤️

A few months back I went with a friend to rescue a litter of puppies from a backyard “breeder”. He was keeping 5 puppies in a small pen in his garage, covered in f***s and urine. These puppies had never touched grass or had an opportunity to run and play before. They were underweight, afraid of the outside world, and needed to experience love. After several baths, vet checks and lots of socialization, they went to their forever homes!

Pearl, the grey pup, had her cherry eye repaired when she was spayed. She was the runt of the litter, but she compensated for her small size with her big personality!

This is Jingles! We are a 5 month old spunky boy who would love to go to a home where he can run laps in the living room and pounce on his mouse toys. Jingles would do best in a home without dogs.
