Community Bark is proud to welcome bather/receptionist Lauren P (a.k.a. Pffafy) to our grooming team as an apprentice groomer, and we are looking for eligible dogs to participate in her training!

FAQ:
What dogs are eligible?
Dogs should be between 1 and 10 years of age, have had at least 3 previous grooming experiences, and have no history of extreme behavior (aggressive/ fearful) in a grooming environment. Dogs should be in good health with no orthopedic issues.
How long are the appointments?
Expect your pup to be with us anywhere between 2-4 hours or more, depending on size, coat condition, and desired hair cut.
Keep in mind that these are teaching sessions, and the trainer will need extra time to explain, demonstrate, and quality check the final cut.
Who is the trainer?
Crystal is our senior groomer who also started her career with us as an apprentice 11 years ago. She has since successfully trained 4 apprentices. The foundation of her grooming is compassion, patience, safety, and quality, and she strives to instill that focus into each student.

Warning: ticks are out in full force this year and we are seeing multiple dogs with these nasty critters on them. We always pluck them off when we see them but some can be missed! Make sure to apply your chosen preventative at appropriate intervals to protect your pups from tick-borne diseases!

Bather Leon has completed the first phase of their grooming apprenticeship under senior groomer Crystal! Second phase appointments in April are available now!
These appointments are discounted and offered to pups 1-10 years old with at least 3 pro-grooms under their belt and no history of aggression at the groomers.
At this time we cannot accept any pup with major orthopedic issues as these appointments will run longer than typical so we can focus on safety and quality.
