Community Bark is proud to welcome bather/receptionist Lauren P (a.k.a. Pffafy) to our grooming team as an apprentice groomer, and we are looking for eligible dogs to participate in her training! Phase 1 of training begins 2/1! This is a great time for clients to get a rare 30% discount off the base price of a quality hair cut!* FAQ: What dogs are eligible? Dogs should be between 1 and 10 years of age, have had at least 3 previous grooming experiences, and have no history of extreme behavior (aggressive/ fearful) in a grooming environment. Dogs should be in good health with no orthopedic issues. How long are the appointments? Expect your pup to be with us anywhere between 2-4 hours or more, depending on size, coat condition, and desired hair cut. Keep in mind that these are teaching sessions, and the trainer will need extra time to explain, demonstrate, and quality check the final cut. Who is the trainer? Crystal is our senior groomer who also started her career with us as an apprentice 11 years ago. She has since successfully trained 4 apprentices. The foundation of her grooming is compassion, patience, safety, and quality, and she strives to instill that focus into each student. OUR VISION AND MISSION - We believe that dog people deserve a place where they can spend quality time with their canine campanions. We want to create an environment where people take great care of their dogs and themselves while building a strong local community.

Community Bark was founded by Andrew Appel in 2009 with the desire to create a better experience for dogs and their people. After experiencing many dog washes and grooming saloons with his Newfie, Lily and visiting a South Bark Dog Wash in San Diego, he was inspired by the quality and energy he felt at their wonderful shop.

OUR PROMISE - We love and care for your dogs like our own! Their well being is our first priority! We want to ensure that your dog(s) are comfortable, happy and safe at our shop while informing you of how your best friends stay went. We use only the highest quality of supplies, foods, treats, and toys while giving you a great value for your money. We want to go even further by helping teach you to take great care of your dog, improve dog welfare in Wisconsin and support other Milwaukee businesses.
