I met my first 4-legged best friend 12 years ago, Gizmo my Poodle-Maltese! But most importantly, he opened my heart to all other animals. Before I knew it, I was volunteering at LA City Shelters, DAWS (Directors of Animal Welfare), Best Friends, picking up lost and abandoned dogs off the streets and finding loving homes for them. My interest grew, so I enrolled with Animal Behavior College and att

ained a Dog Training Certification! In 2010, I made the move to beautiful Portland, Oregon. I'am currently a volunteer with the Oregon Humane Society and Guide Dogs for the Blind. My beloved pack consists of Gizmo, Casper a Westi mix-mutt and Angelita a Doxie/Shih-Tzu. I value their companionship and love more then they will ever know, and because they mean the world to me, I understand how your pets mean the world to you! I am not the average in and out, feed & walk sitter. I take the time to build my own friendship with your pets by making them feel safe and cared for. Heartbeat at my Feet provides *love* and *affection* exercise and play - while your away!

It's been a busy week and good thing too, because the more friends Roper meets the better it will be for this little guys socialization skills!
He met Newton, Peanut, Tabor, Daisy and Ziggy, Augie and Inka, Duckie, Gibbs and Rondo. He met Cedar quickly, knows Bailey, Toby and yet to take on Luka. Slowly but surely. Let's get past the puppy nuisance and maybe they'll be more accepting. 😅🤣

Meet our newest pack member 🧡 Roper.

German Shepherd mix adopted from the Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter!

Roper is 11 weeks young. He is a sweet, outgoing, curious little pup. And he is ours.

Feeling grateful that he will learn so much from the best dogs that come through our doors!
