No excuses for not combing your dog! I watch this show outdaughterd! This girl, Danielle, has 6 kids,a husband, a full time job, and a tv show and still finds time to comb her dog. She knows it is still her responsibility to keep him combed between grooms. If you haven’t even picked up a comb in 3 months, don’t be suprised if your dog comes home without the tail or the ears or somtimes even the body hair. I always tell you im going to do it before i do but i did have one lady say “ no don’t cut it short”, i said ok and he got sent home with the knots still in there because there was no other choice! The reason dogs have to be regularly combed is because they shed hair daily that gets trapped into the other hair and starts to form knots, being dirty or adding dirt to that makes it worse and it starts to feel like sponges, once it has gotten to that, it is too late to get it out, it has to be cut off! The best way to check that is a metal comb. You have to be able to get a comb through it in order to get the clippers through it. There are tons of videos you can look up on how to comb my dog. It is your responsibility because nobody can be at your house that often to do i. Some don’t knot up as bad as others and you are lucky if that the case but don’t be pretending that you had no idea it was like that, if you pet your dog ever, then you know, just admit it and let the groomer do what has to be done and start over!
