We will close at noon on 12/31/2024 and will be closed all day on 1/1/2025. We will reopen on 1/2/2025. We hope everyone has a wonderful New Year holiday. Please make sure to read over the pet safety tips and keep all those fur babies safe and sound at home this evening.

We celebrated Christmas a little early last night. Had a great time, great food, so much fun painting portraits of co workers, and we learned quickly some are artist and some are not! Lol, it was hilarious and so much fun. Todd Buffington did a fantastic job of cooking.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💗 Breast cancer in dogs can present with a variety of symptoms, including weight loss, tumors, and lethargy. It is common in unspayed female dogs, as hormones like estrogen and progesterone can play a role in both mammary development and cancer formation. Ask Dr. Buffington if you have any concerns with the possibility of cancer in your pet!

Alyssa has been with Buffington Veterinary Hospital for 3 years. She loves being able to build relationships with her patients as well as with their owners. While outside of work she enjoys training horses and teaching kids how to ride. ☺️

Claire has been a Veterinary Technician with Buffington Veterinary Hospital for 6 years now. She loves putting smiles on our clients faces and taking care of all of the fur babies. In her spare time at home, she loves trying new foods, spending time with friends and family, and her own personal pets.

We want to give a big shout out to Cody Johnson, Wade Butcher, and Living Word Church for hauling another shipment of supplies up to North Carolina. We have included veterinary hospital specific supplies along with dog and cat food, horse halters and leads, and pet collars, leashes and clothes. Thank you so much to Minden Farm and Garden for the donation of dog food, Alyssa Streetman and 3P Performance Horses for the donation of horse halters and leads. Thank you Dr. Caitlin Rubow and Applewood Animal Hospital in Dallas, NC for receiving all the veterinary hospital specific supplies and getting them distributed to hospitals that are in need. Please pray for safe travels to and from North Carolina for those trailers headed out today.
