Everyone: we have an announcement! "Babs" aka "ABC Auto Dog" aka "Momma Dog" (aka whatever you've all come to know her by) is now safely housed at Mineola Animal Shelter with her five baby boys. What a morning! Our dispatch and volunteers crawled under a house to rescue Babs' babies after trapping her brilliantly evasive self. Our officers have worked hard to get her, and their hard work paid off today. Babs is one smart momma! And she makes some super cute babies. Babs and her babies will be vetted and available in about a month, so keep checking in if you're interested in adopting!

Life-size Valentine bears are about $200. Thor is only $35 AND he can hug and kiss you back 😍
He is 110 pounds but very gentle and mindful of his size. He is very obedient and knows to sit on command for treats. In the fashion of a true gentleman, Thor only jumps up for hugs when invited. This Valentine has great breath (beautiful white teeth) and is a big cuddler. Thor is about one year old, and likely a Cane Corso mix. Adopter must get him fixed within a certain time frame.
Thor is not available until Monday (2/3) because we're still looking for owner. He is originally from Grand Saline, so if you recognize please contact the Mineola Animal Shelter.

Chungus alert! Please keep your wits about you. We know this is an incredibly adorable chunky fluff. His name is Harrison. He absolutely loves cuddles. Harrison falls to putty in your hands. 2024 was a great year for saving lives. We adopted out nearly 400 animals. That’s an average of over one adoption a day, not including the 24 dogs taken in by rescues! In total, we got 142 dogs adopted and 248 cats. Our animal control officers were hard at work ensuring the safety of our community: they answered 1,076 calls.
Our Blair crossed the rainbow bridge back in October. She was happy to have found her home with Mineola Animal Shelter, always busy at work nurturing puppies and kittens or greeting new fuzzy faces of all shapes and sizes in the shelter. We hope to save even more lives in 2025. Here’s to the new year, Mineola!
