Purina Farms is a venue that I hold dear to my heart. That's where I first took a step into showing Apollo as a total amateur.
This past weekend, I got to go back and reflect on my personal growth since my first show on 2021.

I was 2 months postpartum with Levi and I remember being absolutely clueless to what I was doing.
How do I show my dog? How do I groom my dog? Am I out of my mind? Why do I even bother? Are thoughts that went through my head as I set up at Purina Farms in 2021.

Now in 2025, I have 3 golden retrievers that I have shown and finished UKC CHs on. I have achieved 10+ titles on several of my dogs and currently owner-handling my goldens through their AKC CH titles. I am more confident in my handling skills and grooming skills, thanks to generous help and advice from friends I have made along this journey.

That first step was so daunting at the time but looking back now, I am so thankful to my past self for being courageous and just doing it!

Thanks Purina Farms for being such an amazing venue!! ❤️

I usually do one show recap per show but I felt like THIS deserved its own post because...Apollo ROCKED it!!

Not only did he obtain his Rally novice title, he placed 1st place in Rally Novice A with 95 score THEN managed to get Rally intermediate Q with another 1st place with 96 score!!!

He worked his butt off in that ring today! ❤️

We have 2 upcoming workshops, plus an Open Casting event in Austin, TX!

FULL! Hollywood Animal 101 - SATURDAY, February 8th from 10AM--6PM
The Hollywood Animal 101 workshop will introduce you to the world of animal acting. Get a behind the scenes glimpse of life on set and some of the things expected of you and your animal on set. You will also learn how to train some of our most requested behaviors, have professional headshots taken of your animal, and have the opportunity to officially sign with the agency and get exclusive access to casting calls.

From Script to Screen - SUNDAY, February 8th from 10AM--6PM
The Script to Screen workshop is an in-depth look at how to read between the lines of a casting call to see what actions are needed for that job, as well as how to make the most of your audition videos. The Hollywood Animal 101 workshop is a prerequisite for the Script to Screen workshop. Please note that headshots will not be taken during the Script to Screen workshop.

Canine Good Citizen & Trick Dog Open Casting - FRIDAY, February 7th from 10AM--4PM
Want to see if your pup has what it takes to make it on set? Test your basic obedience skills with a Canine Good Citizen test, plus earn AKC Trick Dog titles. Professional headshots included. This is a "show up when you can" event.

O.M.G. 😍 I am in LOVE with this harness! When I saw it online, I was debating on it but SO glad I got it. It fits Apollo perfectly and he loved canicrossing for the first time!
