Here is an updated list of all the items on that we could use in the . We wanted to update it for everyone that has been asking us what we could use.

Biggest wish list
We are trying to go to stainless steel litter boxes for the cats to help with some of the disease control. We have 34 cat kennels. There is two sizes that we are asking for.

Litter - Non-clumping litter - we normally get this at Tractor Supply.

The items on our amazon list are all items that the shelter uses or can use. We have had a lot of people calling us asking what they could give us this year for the animals as a Christmas donation.
This is always easier to send out then list everything separately.

Our biggest need is cat litter - NON-Clumping from Tractor supply.

Effective immediately, Mineral Wells Animal Shelter will no longer assist in trapping or removing healthy wildlife. The Mineral Wells Animal Control are not properly trained or equipped in handling wildlife, only domesticated animals such as cats and dogs.

If you find any injured or sick (possible rabies) wildlife, please continue to contact the Animal Shelter. We do have traps that the public can request to use on a limited basis. If you do trap any species of wildlife it will be your responsibility for removal and relocation of the animal or you can contact a wildlife company to assist with removal. Animal Control will pick up privately trapped high-risk rabies suspects, such as raccoons, skunks, and foxes, if they have bitten or scratched a human.

We recommend that you take precautions when feeding other animals outside, such as time of day you are feeding, how much you are feeding, where you are feeding your animals. Pet food is an attractant for wildlife, which can be a nuisance to you and your neighbors.
