Bekah (they) and Jesse work on ground work and desensitization
Jordan started Lessons 4-ish months ago with the goal of being able to step confidently into a volunteer position at any barn. And of course wanted to get back in the saddle!
"I had previous experiences on horses from childhood and from a handful of lessons an adult, but I never felt at home at any barns. I stumbled across RoCo on someone's recommendation and Ro took me on a tour a few days later. I loved his laid back but confident attitude and his knowledge is extensive. He lets me go at my own pace and work on bonding with the horses I'm working with, which means a lot to me and gives me confidence in the arena. I feel very comfortable around all the lesson horses and I've learned enough that I can start volunteering at local rescues at their barns, which is a huge win."
Weekly or biweekly lessons are available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Happy super-dupper Retirement Levi ❤️ You retired from Harness Racing long ago. Now this gentles giant is offically double retired from regular rides with his favorite rider Gera. The Vet said his tendons just can't take it anymore and our horses comfort is always important to us. Levi will be a Companion horse or Pasture Pet from now on and we don't love you any less! 💕We aren't done loving on you yet! And dont worry, we will still visit with snacks and chats soon. Thanks for being the best horse for Gera, Amanda and me. Let the Retirement Party begin!
Thanks for everything Amanda and
Myrtle Point Stables ! None of this would have happened without your hard work!
Horse (Xena) really got into the spirit of Halloween yesterday with Apple Bobbing at the Halloween Barn Day Party! 🎃🐴 Xena was hallarious and such a great sport dunking her whole face into the water, blowing bubbles, and drinking the water.
Join the fun this Saturday at Barn Days for another round of painting with horses!
Details can be found on a Barn Day Flyer. Check previous posts for the flyer. You wont want to miss this!
Foster horse Jesse and her filly Dove were napping yesterday when I came to work so I very quietly and slowly snuck in for a snuggle with Dove.
Both Momma and baby are in the stall during the days and out at night as an effort to help mitigate how many steps Jesse takes in a day. Poor thing is still painful in the hoof from the Laminitis she got due to retained afterbirth. Hopefully soon they will be back in pasture full time. Until then I'll just have to keep snuggling them! 😍🐴
Let's see if this video came out clearer than the last one. 😅
The geldings were all really feeling fun and enjoyed playing around the pasture this morning.
Rainy Day Vibes at Heart to Heart Ranch even the old geldings still get zoomies!
