This big handsome guy’s name is Lazurus’ Apache, affectionately known as Apache. He is a Registered Gypsy Percheron Cross Gelding – stands a whopping 17.1 hands and weighs 1800 #. Don’t let his enormous size discourage you as he is ONE BIG puppy dog!! Apache was born and raised right here at the Bar M Horse Ranch.

Apache is broke to ride and drive. Whether you’re a beginner, advanced beginner or a seasoned rider, Apache is a perfect fit. We have ridden him on all different types of trails and Apache has been driven on various types of wagons and we have used Apache on our wedding carriage. He will cross water and logs with ease. Another great one is leaving our barn and heading to his forever home!! Bar M'S Bandit has sure been a great horse to have around. We have had the privilege to watch him grow into himself and really become a true standout. We are excited for his new owners and can't wait to see what Bandit and them can accomplish.

Our new babies had a great weekend outside and gave us some beautiful pictures to share. It's so entertaining just to watch these young foals enjoying themselves. We welcomed to the world our very first Gypsy/ Curly cross c**t last week. Duece is a very fancy-looking c**t and already has lots of curls!! We have not been able to find any other Gypsy/Culry cross horses out there. Good possibility this a very first for this cross. Duece will be ready and available in 5 months!! We will have 2 other curly cross babies plus many other Gypsy cross babies.

Bar M’S Bandit is a Friesian Brabant cross gelding. He is 4 years old but has a mind like a 12-year-old. Bandit has that beautiful bay roan color and with him standing right at 17.2 hands, he is sure to get you noticed every place you go. Don’t let his size scare you as he is a giant puppy dog with a heart the size of Texas!! He will be the first to meet you at the gate every morning. Bandit loves to be right in your pocket. Whether your 5 or 50 you will feel absolutely safe around him. He loves his baths and even likes to take an occasional drink from the hose. Bandit stands absolutely perfect for the farrier. Bandit loads and hauls like a champ. You can easily clip him as well. He gets along with all the other horses in the pasture. Bandit has seen absolutely everything imaginable already. We have used him on all types of trail rides and he will cross water, logs and even those scary bridges with complete ease. Bandit also enjoys the leisurely rides into town for a little snack and to meet all the friendly people. He is 100% traffic safe. In addition to his excellent riding skills, Bandit is also broke to drive. He has been on all types of machinery and wagons. He will drive single or double as well. We had a great time at the Minnesota Horse Expo last weekend. Both of our horses sure loved the attention they received all weekend!! It was great to see everyone out and about. Met a lot of new people and even ran into a few of our clients. It's always great to hear how the horses out of our program are succeeding at their new homes. We want to give a special thanks to all of the Expo staff as they did an excellent job putting on a great event.
