My first two fall-hatched Backcross Olive Egger pullets have started laying and they’re both bangers 😍 The 50/50 odds of green or brown eggs from Olive Eggers backcrossed to Black Copper Marans aren’t even a bummer when the shades are this good.

Crele Penedesenca are an autosexing breed whose egg color rivals many Black Copper Marans lines. They’re more productive layers than BCM too!
