Pets can be experts at hiding symptoms of heart disease, but you don’t have to wait for symptoms to take action. Regular veterinary exams can catch heart issues before they become serious. Signs to watch for include coughing, decreased activity, and difficulty breathing. If your pet shows any of these, it’s time for a visit! This February, make heart health a priority for your furry loved one. Call us at (612) 825-4427 to schedule a heart health check-up. ❤️🐾

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
Save This Life microchip company abruptly closed and locked down their database. Minnehaha Animal Hospital has been administering Save This Life microchips for over 8 years. Pets who received these microchips will need to register their chip and owner information with another registry so that in the event your pet is lost your information can be found and you can be reunited with your pet. To register your pet you will need the microchip number. If you do not have that we are able to look that up in our records or scan your pet and get the number.
There is a FREE pet microchip registry https://www.freepetchipregistry.com/login/. We also have information on other microchip registries that have enhanced features for a fee. Please contact our office if you need additional information.
PLEASE NOTE: This affects only Save This Life microchips. It is still a good idea to check your pet's chip registration information to ensure all contact information is up to date.

Free Pet Chip Registry is dedicated to the well being and safe return of your pet when lost! Free registration for all pets with microchips in North America!

Dogs see great in low light, but it's still important to stay visible during nighttime walks. With increased risks for pedestrians in the dark, make sure you and your dog are safe by taking simple precautions.

Stay safe while walking your dog at night, whether you’re in the city or country. Stay visible, look out for wildlife, and stay alert are a few methods.
