Dog Social

We welcome all dogs--including those that are leash-reactive, shy, over-enthusiastic, or are in training and do not discriminate based on breed. What to expect on a Dog Social walk:
-dogs in training and owners actively redirecting their dogs' energy into wanted behaviors.
-positive and respectful training techniques
-owners who are respectful of each individual dog's training needs (this means be

ing cognizant of how close you are to dog-owner pairs and listening when an owner voices their concerns)
-one dog per walker. Although many of us own more than one dog, individual attention and control is important. Feel free to bring a significant other or friend as an additional handler! What NOT to expect:
-dogs playing and interacting face-to-face. Although some of the dogs that go on Dog Social walks are, in fact, dog social, some of them are dog-selective or dog-reactive. The focus of this group is training, not playing (although you are more than welcome to set up individual play dates with members that you meet!)
