Young Belgian Malinois require a lot of exercise and stimulation. I like to show the dog a pattern and then start adding to it or changing it. This allows me to see any misunderstandings and fix them, and also shows me he’s listening to what I’m asking, and not guessing the next command.

Today I’m working with a Poodle, Boxer (6 months), and my Goolden Retriever. Go slow, and be specific about what you ask your dog to do. Help them if they are struggling, or move your training to a less distracting environment. Spending a little time working your dog everyday creates a calm balanced Pet.

Here’s a shot from our group class. Betty Jean is helping whiskey get through the tunnel for his first time. 
We are out training near my community boat dock. At one point I had to tell the dogs to jump in the car so I could talk to a neighbor. The pitbull mix has been training for just under two weeks and the black German shepherd has been training for one week. All the dogs are off leash and listening with some gentle reinforcement from their training collar.

I’m training this dog on a remote collar, and check out her energy! Just popping after a week of training. Love this and no negative reactions if I have to push the button here or there. This is completely normal and happens with every dog that comes through training. Dogs love working as it makes them feel like they have purpose. Golden doodles can be very high energy, but with a little bit of guidance they make excellent friendly obedient companions. 
These are my newest bootcamp students. I typically keep my bootcamps down to two dogs at a time. It keeps me very flexible and mobile to take them out together.
Everyone learns exercises specifically for their dog when they return from their Boot Camp. The exercises are repetitive, simple, warm the dog up and help them develop greater focus.
