Veterinary Medicine isn’t always puppy and kitty snuggles, but when it is, we take full advantage! Happy Spring! Here are just a few of today’s patients!🐾💕
Hope your Friday is as happy as this calf is to walk on his new splints! He was a twin at birth and has contracted tendons making it difficult for him to walk but is doing so well already!
We heard it’s #nationalpuppyday and we got to see these brand new babies today to celebrate! Hello cuteness!😍
Nasopharyngeal polyp in a cat! These benign tumors commonly occur in young cats (often <1 year of age). They begin in the middle ear and if they grow outward, often cause ear infections. Surgery is curative but reoccurrence can occur! Check out this polyp that Dr. Laura pulled out today at the Minneota Vet Clinic!🙀
Our new puppy patients had to show off their skills for us today!🐾
Televet now has an app!
Here is a tutorial for downloading the app. If you prefer to use your browser/texting, you still can. But if you prefer an app, there is one now!
With the app, you can message us, request appointments, view your pet ID card which has all of their vaccine information and much more! Let us know if you have any questions. 🐾🩺
Finding calf fetal heartbeats on ultrasound!
Today the MN Board of Animal Health announced a confirmed case of Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDV2) in Hennepin County. These were pet rabbits that had never traveled outside their home to shows or exhibitions. They are still investigating how these rabbits were exposed. This virus is in the wild rabbit population.
Please consider vaccinating your rabbits against this virus as it is extremely lethal especially those who will be traveling for fairs & shows!
Please don’t “give a dog a bone”.
This may not look like much but this vomiting dog had a piece of bone causing an obstruction in its intestines. While the saying may be “give a dog a bone”, maybe think twice next time! Luckily, it was caught early and the bone was removed with minimal intestinal damage.
If your dog is a chewer, we recommend thinks like Benebones which are safer and do not break off in large chunks.

This is Pyometra! Pyo=pus Metra=uterus. This is why we want to spay your dog! Please get your dog spayed and prevent them from going through this serious and expensive surgery. Spaying your dog also prevents breast cancer. Remember February is national Spay day month and there are still openings to get the spay day discount.
Love my ultrasound and rectal probe! Beef cows are checked rectally for pregnancy in the fall to winter to see if they are pregnant and how far along they are so the rancher knows when she will calve. Using the ultrasound and rectal probe decreases the time that the whole procedure takes, along with saving on wear and tear on the veterinarian’s shoulder!
250 cow pregnancy check time! It was a beautiful December day with lots of sunshine to keep us warm 🌞
