At just 8 weeks old, this tiny kitten was found all alone, limping in pain on the streets 💔

A kindhearted police officer brought him to the safety of a shelter, where it was discovered that his front leg had been so badly injured that it couldn’t be saved. The difficult decision was made to amputate, leaving Oliver as a brave little tripod.

But Oliver’s journey doesn’t end with heartbreak. This tiny fighter refuses to be defined by what he’s lost. He's already mastering the art of being a fearless tripod, full of love, curiosity, and endless kitten energy.❤️

Oliver is making his way to our rescue from MACC tomorrow and the best part is that he already has a foster home lined up. No more shelters or scary streets for this little fella.🥹

Hank is excited to tell everyone that he is officially a FOSTER FAIL!🎉

"IT’S OFFICIAL!! We foster failed 🥹

We picked up our 22nd foster, Hank, on June 9th. Unbeknownst to us, Hank decided he was already home.

After 6 unsuccessful applications, we figured it was a sign and have officially adopted Hank to be his furever home just a couple days after his 3 month anniversary here with us.❤️

I have wanted a Great Dane my whole life… he is a dream come true!

“We have always had dogs in our home. We had two 14 year olds, Mackenzie and Sofia, who we sadly lost over the past year. They lived long and happy lives and we loved them so, so much.

After some time, we realized we were ready for another furry member of the family. When we saw Raya online we thought she was so cute and knew we wanted to meet her right away.

The foster mom was wonderful about organizing a time to play and get to know her a little bit. After a few days we made the decision to bring her home!

These first few days have been great introducing her to our home, the neighborhood, and all her new toys. We decided on the name Raya since it means ‘friend’.” ❤️

We’re overjoyed to see Raya, fka Patty Cake, settling in so well with her new family! Stories like these remind us why we do what we do. It’s not just about finding loving homes for animals, but creating and supporting lasting, lifelong bonds between people and their pets.

365 days.

That’s how long Bloom, aka Lola, has been waiting for her forever home.

The first photo shows her when she came to us a year ago—skinny, scared, and confused.

Bloom's journey began in the backyards of Bloomington (see where her name comes from? 😉). She wandered as a stray for three weeks until she was finally caught and brought into rescue.

But let’s focus on the present: Bloom is now healthy, happy, and safe.

The following photos capture her transformation, thriving under the loving care of her incredible foster family, The Joneses Foster. We are incredibly grateful to Rebecca and John for their unwavering dedication to helping Bloom overcome her fears and grow.

It hasn’t been an easy road for either Bloom or the Joneses—from being adopted and returned, trying new foster homes, to making progress in training only to face setbacks.

Fostering can be mentally and emotionally exhausting, and at The Bond Between, we always prioritize the mental health of our fosters. We fully support the Joneses in their recent decision to take a break after giving so much of themselves to Bloom.

So now Bloom is now temporarily back at the office, and we need someone else to say "YES" to fostering her.

We believe in Bloom, the Joneses believe in Bloom—now we just need someone else to believe in her, too. 🫶

Here's some of Bloom's Paw-Some Perks:
✨ She's 100% Foxhound and 200% Good Girl
✨ She's fully potty trained and doesn't need a crate
✨ She loves to curl up on the couch next to you for some snuggles
✨ She loves a good game of tug
✨ She loves exploring and running to her heart's content in fenced areas - a pure joy to witness!

Bloom does best with dogs her size or smaller, as larger dogs can intimidate her. She’s also done well with dog-savvy cats, but would need to avoid homes with cats unfamiliar with dogs. Ideally, she needs a strong handler and a secure space like a privacy fence or private land where she can feel safe. She’s a vocal girl, sometimes startled by passing cars or new faces, so a home without shared walls is best for her.

If you can open your heart and home to foster or adopt Bloom, you’ll be giving her the loving chapter she’s been waiting for. After everything she’s been through, she truly deserves it. ❤️

Zara's zest for life is truly contagious ✨

Zara (aka Lily to her foster family) is a 2.5-year-old happy pup searching for her forever home.

Her favorite pastimes are running around the backyard, chewing on her bones, and snuggling up for a nap 🤎

She is crate-trained and potty-trained and would do well with a family that works from home or in the office. Zara would benefit from a patient-loving family that can continue to instill positive behaviors. She doesn’t have other pets in her current foster home, but she has done well with the resident dogs in her temp and previous foster homes!🐶🐱

One thing that is important to know about Zara is that she has a history of seizures. The good news is that with her current medications, her symptoms are completely stable and she takes her medication like a CHAMP! 🏆

While Zara may have to take medication twice a day (she loves taking her pills wrapped in salami 😋), she is just your normal happy pup.

"I saw her frosty face in the FB post listed at 19 [years old] and in need of a foster and I knew I had to foster her.

She had a litany of health issues. HW+, advanced dental disease, mammary tumors, I was surprised she wasn't listed as hospice.

When she arrived I knew why. She had so much s***k. I knew she couldn't be 19. At her first appointment at TBB Vet Center, the vets confirmed she was much younger, more likely 10-12.

She took to my dachshunds Gloria & Marvin, and I immediately, she always wanted to be sitting next to me, following me around the yard. She was a foster I would have failed on if I could have more than 2 dogs of my own. We all miss her tremendously.”

From the moment Jazzy stepped into her foster home, she was surrounded by love, building a deep bond with her foster family and dachshund buddies.

It’s these bonds that make fostering such a powerful, emotional experience. 🥹

Fosters are a lifeline for animals who have faced so much hardship. And in return, these animals fill our lives with more love than we could ever imagine. Jazzy’s story is a beautiful example of this.

Despite her rough start and medical challenges, Jazzy has now found the most perfect forever family where she continues to thrive – and alongside another senior dachshund companion! 🥰

Though it’s always difficult to say goodbye, knowing that the love and care given during fostering lays the foundation for that animal to have a bright future is… an unmatched feeling. ❤️

The Bridge Between, our free pet loss support group, offers a safe space to share, heal, and connect with others who understand.

Whether your loss is recent or years past, your grief will be met with kindness and compassion.

The Bridge Between takes place at our Minnetonka office every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:30pm-8:00pm. This group is open to the public – all are welcome.

When Shamrock's beloved owner passed away, we didn’t hesitate – we welcomed her into The Bond Between with open arms.

From the moment we said yes, it became our mission to ensure Shammy continue to have everything she needs to thrive.

Now, we’re celebrating a special milestone – Shammy’s one-year rescue anniversary with us!

It’s been a year full of love, care, and comfort in her hospice foster home, and we couldn’t be happier to see how well she’s doing. ❤️

Recently, Queen Shammy received the greatest gift: her very own grand chariot! Though she loves to walk, unfortunately, she can't go as far as she used to. Thanks to a generous donor, she can now enjoy her daily walks in style, taking in the world from the comfort of her new stroller. 🥰

Here’s to Shamrock’s 1 year Rescueversary and to her incredible hospice foster for filling Shammy's life with all the special moments. 🤍

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to sweet hospice boy, Napoleon!❤

This little guy, who came to us a few weeks ago from our fantastic partners at Animal Allies Humane Society in Duluth, is 13 years young and weighs just 6 pounds. Despite his wild hair and slightly wobbly but charming gait, he still has a lot of pep in his step. Napoleon loves being around his people and friends, and he's already proven to be quite the escape artist—no gate has been able to contain him, even with modifications!

Napoleon recently had his vet check-up to establish his care plan and is thriving in his forever fospice home, where he's joined by his fellow hospice pals Harold, Sebastian, and Sasha.🐾

We’re still working on finding the perfect nickname for him—"Napoleon" doesn’t quite roll off the tongue as quickly as we'd like. For now, he's responding to "Cutie," "Handsome Pants," "Escape Artist" (as seen in the photo), and the occasional "Um, Sir, How Did You Get Stuck Again?" 😂

Shiloh's Transformation: A Story of Love and Patience 🐾

When Shiloh (formerly Addie) first arrived, she was a frightened little pup who just wanted to hide. The outside world was overwhelming, and even a simple walk was too much for her. But her foster family was determined to help her find her confidence and happiness.

It wasn’t always easy—there were sleepless nights, early morning potty breaks, and a lot of patience. Their 9-year-old even gave up having friends over to make sure Shiloh felt safe. But with love, dedication, and support from their amazing neighborhood, Shiloh began to blossom.

After just a few days, Shiloh started coming out of her shell. She accepted head rubs, followed her family around, and even braved the outdoors. Every small step was a victory, and it didn’t take long for her family to fall completely in love with her.

Today, Shiloh is officially part of the family! She may still be shy and not big on cuddles, but she knows she’s found her forever home. Their daughter is already planning Shiloh’s Halloween costume, and every day brings new moments of joy.

Shiloh’s journey shows that with patience and love, even the most fearful pups can find their way to happiness. ❤️

Minx came to The Bond Between 193 days ago. 🥹

Her foster just threw her a first birthday celebration - a bittersweet event when she came to rescue at 6 months old. But Minx is a special girl and we are taking our time to find her a good match.

Minxy had the BEST day, though, and wore the cutest party hat and enjoyed a special treat with all her siblings. 🥳🎂

She only had one birthday wish: to find her forever home! 🥹

Minx is a playful pup who loves romping around with other dogs, exploring sniff spots, and playing fetch – she’ll even throw the ball herself! After a day of fun, she’s all about cuddling up on the couch with her favorite humans.

Minx is looking for a female-only home where she can truly thrive. While she adores her foster dad, Minx has struggled with men otherwise. And though she LOVES playing with other dogs, she has a strong loyalty to her humans and can sometimes get a bit jealous when she has to share their attention. Because of this, Minx would do best in a home where she is the only dog or with a family that's committed to continuing her training to help her feel more comfortable sharing her space.

Minx’s loving nature means she wants to give her all to her people, and with a little guidance, she’ll flourish in the right environment! Her ideal family would be one that understands her needs and can provide a home in which she will feel safe and loved.

Reunited and it feels so good! 🐾🎉 Jack and Izzy's dad faced a tough time after a stroke landed him in the hospital for 55 days. Thanks to a caring friend and the incredible TBB community, we found foster homes to keep these two sweet pups safe and loved while their dad recovered. First, an amazing foster stepped up, and when Jack and Izzy didn't get along with the resident cat, another incredible foster welcomed them with open arms. Through it all, Jack and Izzy's dad received heartwarming photos and videos that helped him heal. Today, we celebrate their joyful reunion! Look at Dublin STAND!🥹💕 He’s been doing Pulse ElectroMagnet Field Therapy to help improve mobility, relieve pain, and increase the healing process. He’s been rocking the “I CAN DO IT!” mentality that is truly inspiring. We still don’t know what caused his legs to be paralyzed, but he’s not letting that stop him from being the playful, happy puppy he was meant to be 🐶 Can we cheer Dublin on in the comments?!
