Hey friends! As fall winds down and we inch toward winter, here are a few quick reminders to keep your dog happy, healthy, and comfy this month:
🐾 Watch Out for Leaf Piles
Dogs love launching themselves into giant leaf piles — but those piles can hide sticks, mold, critters, or ticks. Give them a quick check before letting your pup dive in.
🍁 Cooler Temps = Shorter Playtime
The November chill can sneak up fast. Keep an eye on shivering, paw lifting, or your dog wanting to head back inside. That’s their polite way of saying, “I’m cold, thanks.”
🌧️ Mud Season Is Here
Wet leaves + rain = mud everywhere. A quick paw wipe at the door saves your floors (and your sanity). It’s also a great daily check for cracks or irritation.
💩 Yard Clean-Ups Matter Even More
P**p hides really well in fallen leaves. Staying on top of clean-up now means way less “surprise finds” once the snow melts.
🦃 Holiday Foods to Avoid
Thanksgiving goodies are delicious for humans, but dangerous for pets. Keep dogs away from:
turkey bones
onions/garlic
stuffing
chocolate
alcohol
anything overly fatty (pan drippings, gravy, etc.)
A small spoonful of plain turkey meat is usually fine, though!
🍗 Guests Coming and Going
More people in the house means more open doors. Make sure your pup has a safe space to retreat and remind guests to watch gates and doors if your dog is an escape artist.
💛 We’re Thankful for You
As we head into the holiday season, we want you to know how grateful we are for your support and for trusting us with your pups’ yards. Sending warm wishes for a cozy November!
