What is "SantaPawz"?? Let us tell you!! Our team has been brainstorming ideas on what we could do to help our community this holiday season. We have decided to launch a "refer a friend/family member" to receive gifts of dog & cat food among other supplies, to someone in our community who has been struggling this year. We're calling it "SantaPawz"! Here's how to nominate - Email us a PDF letter stating your name, the family's name & contact information of who you wish to nominate & a short paragraph explaining why you are nominating this family. PLEASE add if they have dog(s) &/or cat(s). Email us at [email protected] & put "SantaPawz" in the subject line, by December 6th *** EXTENDED TO 12/15*** The family who is chosen will be announced on December 13th *** EXTENDED TO 12/17 ***.
A few local businesses have also decided to team up with us to make this holiday very special. Thank you, Pampered Paws Northwoods Pets Muddy Pawz Lodge & Purina Pro Plan for joining forces w/ us!!!! Those of you who wish to contribute, we will have a large box in the lobby to collect items such as food, toys (new please) etc. If you are a local business in our area & want to contribute, please feel free to message us. We will also be offering to collect monetary contributions to our "Compassion Fund". This fund is here to help families who are in need of financial help for Veterinary care for their pet. Each case is reviewed prior to rewarding a portion of the fund.

This person must be able to follow owners instruction, keep the dogs best interest at heart and reliable. We work with all breeds. We just wanted to update everyone kennel cough is going around our area and we have now had a few reports of pups picking up this cold here. To help stop the spread of this if your pup is sick please keep them home. We ask they wait at least 48-72 hours after last symptom before socializing them again.
We are also asking for all pups to please wait at least 10 days before going to a different facility or dog park after coming to our place or bringing your pups into our place.
It takes 7-10 days after a dog is exposed to this cold to show symptoms, however they are contagious during this time making it difficult for us to know a pup is sick.
Kennel cough is like a cold that you and i get, only for pups. If you have questions please contact your vets. Yes pups can still pick up kennel cough even with them being vaccinated. It's very similar to our flu shot.
