🐾🎉 Happy Opposite Day for Dogs! 🎉🐾

Today, our furry friends are the ones in charge! On National Opposite Day, we’re flipping the script and letting the dogs take over. Get ready for some totally different rules:

🐕 Walks on THEIR schedule—who's ready for a 3 a.m. adventure?
🍽️ Mealtime? Only when they feel like it (and it might not be when we expect)!
🛋️ The couch? Definitely their throne for the day.... or maybe the picnic table!
🎾 Fetch? Maybe they’ll fetch... but don’t hold your breath!

It’s their world today, and we’re just living in it. Share your dog’s Opposite Day antics with us! How is YOUR pup taking charge? 😜🐾

❄️ Keep Your Pets Safe in Below-Zero Temperatures! ❄️

As the weather gets colder, it’s important to keep your pets safe during dangerously low temperatures! When it’s below zero, pets are at risk for frostbite and hypothermia. Here’s how you can protect your furry friends:

🦴 Limit outdoor time – short walks only!
🐾 Protect their paws from ice and salt (booties work great!)
🛏️ Ensure they have a warm, dry space to rest
🧣 Consider a cozy coat for short-haired or small breeds
⚠️ Be mindful of toxic chemicals like antifreeze

If you notice any signs of frostbite or hypothermia, contact your vet immediately.

🎄🐾✨ Northwoods Animal Hospital had it's very own CHRISTMAS MIRACLE today! 6 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies born by an emergency C-Section..... ALL are healthy and snuggled with mom at home for the holidays. This could not have happed without our wonderfuly compassionate and talented staff & doctors!
