Hey SWLL Family,

We recently encountered a view that took us by surprise (yes, this is a real message we received) —a hesitation to play against our incredible Glitter Unicorns team because, well, they're an all-girls team named after something as magical as unicorns. 🦄✨

It's 2024, folks. At South Walton Little League, we believe in celebrating the spirit and skills of all our players, regardless of team names or gender. We play ball with respect, joy, and a healthy dose of competition. The idea that a team's name or the gender of its players could be a reason to back out? That's just not us.

The Glitter Unicorns are amazing athletes. They've shown us what teamwork, dedication, and a bit of sparkle can do on the baseball field. They're not just playing TeeBall; they're changing the game....and kicking butt while doing it! 🥎

So, we're looking for a new coach. Someone who knows that it's not the name on the back or the front of the jersey that matters, but the love for the game and the drive to inspire young athletes to be their best selves.

If you're ready to lead a team of champions and think that losing to a team of talented players—who just so happen to love glitter AND unicorns AND ARE GIRLS—is no loss at all, but a celebration of the sport we love, then SWLL wants you.

Let's continue to play, support, and cheer in a league where respect, fun, and sportsmanship are what truly define us. Because at the end of the day it's about our kids, and it's definitely about beating whoever is on the other side of the field with skill, grace, and maybe a little glitter.
