As 2024 comes to an end & the craziest, busiest week of the year begins, I wanted to take a minute to express the immense gratitude I feel for each and every one of my clients.

This year has been a tough one to say the least. Many of you know I lost my mom unexpectedly this May then my sweet, old doggo Dingo died just before Thanksgiving. It’s been brutal but the thing that’s been most comforting and therapeutic has been coming to work. You all have kept me going this year. Your dogs wiggly butts & sweet kisses got me through it all. Even the ones who aren’t my biggest fans make me smile.

So many four-legged clients also passed away this year and just know I grieve with you. Your dogs are my dogs, too, and each one leaves a paw print on my heart.

So thank you for your patience, your kindness and your trust. As we head into 2025 - and toward my 5 year anniversary- I promise I will keep giving your pets all I’ve got and make an extra effort to text you back in a timely manner. 😂

The last few weeks have been crazy and I have been struggling to keep up with my messages but will be back in the salon tomorrow, Monday 6/10, and returning messages as quickly as I can.

My mom passed unexpectedly just before both my kids’ birthdays at the end of May and I’ve been out of town so I appreciate everyone’s patience and kindness as I get my bearings. If you don’t hear back from me within a few days, please send another message! It’s easy for them to get lost.

Thank you to everyone for being the most wonderful clients a groomer could ask for! Here are some cute puppers for tax. 🥰

Remember the THREE LITTERS and two mama cats we rescued from behind the salon? (Thank you to those who contributed to their care!) Their foster mama has found homes for almost everyone except these five darlings. 💕 They will be ready next week! 🐈‍⬛

If you or someone you know is interested in adopting one, please message me or text me! They’ve been treated for worms and are all now thriving. (There is a number in the top right corner of each kitten to help identify which you want.) All Candice the foster mom asks is for cat sitting rights. 😊 She has been caring for them round the clock for weeks and wants to find the best forever homes for them all. 💕

Side note: daddy cat has been trapped, neutered, marked and released! 🫶🏼

Mission: Kitty Rescue has expanded! Candice has taken in FOUR MORE newborn kitties! Luckily, these two beautiful mamas are happy to nurse them! It’s so neat to see these moms work together to care for them. 🥰 A massive THANK YOU to everyone who’s helped out! We greatly appreciate it & couldn’t do it without this powerful community. Stay tuned for more updates! 🐾

We were able to rescue to mama cats and their babies last week from behind the salon! 🥰 They are safe and warm with a good friend of mine who has taken them all in (she’s also an AMAZING dog sitter/Walker!) and is in desperate need of donations!

Between vet costs for them all, special food, etc it’s a lot! So if you’d like to help, we would appreciate wet kitten food, wet mama & kitten food, cat litter and a very large dog kennel to keep the families separated. If you’d like to donate money, send me a msg or text!

Donations can be dropped at the salon while I’m here or if you’d like to arrange something outside of business hours, you can text me! If you want to inquire about adopting a baby - or a mama - let me know. Some are already spoken for but the moms especially need a home! 🐾

This photo was taken during a 95-day, solo, unsupported Arctic expedition with my team of 23 Alaskan malamutes relaying supplies over a steep mountain pass.

The expedition was conducted with an average snow depth of three deep and temperatures dropping to -65F ambient for several weeks and -80F to -90F windchill. Throughout the entire expedition, I never saw any humans or signs of human activity. It's truly an untouched Arctic jewel.

❄️ December is chaotic at the salon - getting everyone cleaned, fluffed and manicured for the holidays and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 💕 I truly am so blessed to have so many kind, generous, thoughtful clients.
