I got to visit with Scout and Walter last week. Scout and I have spent a lot of time getting to know each other and I've fallen head over tails for him. He cuddled right up to my boot too! We had plenty of time to relax with my new BED AND BREAKFAST service!

Happy August!! As you know I've been on a hiatus with pet sitting since July for an ankle reconstruction surgery. I'm healing nicely and things are moving along. Starting next week, I'll resume some pet sitting on a VERY limited basis while I continue therapy to regain full mobility. I'm missing all your pets and can't wait to be fully operational soon! ❤️🐾

I’ve been a bit slow in posting these last couple of weeks while I’ve been recovering from my ankle reconstruction surgery, but I want to take a moment to express my immense gratitude.

A HUGE shoutout to my fellow pet sitters, who are also dear friends, and to my amazing hubby for holding down the fort. Thanks to all of you, every pet is still getting their uninterrupted snuggles and care. I'm missing my visits, but feeling so grateful for this incredible support. Bella is very sweet and lovable. ❤️ She loves walks, cuddles, and belly rubs! We had to navigate the fireworks while mom and dad were away, but she did ok. I'll be visiting her again soon with my "bed and breakfast" service. That's designed for pups who just love a little extra human time. See you soon Bella! 🐾

My main man Oliver! ❤️ We share a special one on one bond. Oliver has 2 brothers. But they go to the lake cottage with mom and dad. Oliver doesn't like to travel and totally loves his alone time so he stays home. But I'd like to think he's most happiest when it's just me and him. My husband will be visiting Oliver during my recovery. He better be on good behavior. Although I hear he gets a little lippy when he's expecting me and someone else is there. See you soon Oliver! 😘

Meet Ford. 🐾 He'll greet you at the door and anxiously await his wet food, his favorite of the day! After that, have a seat because he'll come and plop himself right on your chest and purr away while he gets lots of head and chin scratches! And be careful walking away. He'll race you, thinking he's getting more wet food...and usually he will. ❤️

Meet Ninja! 🐈‍⬛ He is Oni's brother. He can never get enough love. ❤️ It's hard to take a good picture of him because he's always head butting my hand to pet him if I stop. Surprisingly he didn't come out the day before when Oni was wanting all the attention. But I did spy him taking a cat nap. 💤

❤️ Meet sweet Oni. I have been pet sitting for her and her brother for 3 years and this is the first time I've touched her. And if you look closely, she's giving me a kiss. Even if I can't touch them, I always try to lay eyes on every pet at every visit, but she's a good hider. I was so excited she was on the bed vs under it at this visit. She let me give her lots of pets. But I couldn't find her the next day. 😢 I will always cherish our brief encounter. Until next time...

I wanted to take a moment to inform you all that I will be taking a temporary hiatus from pet sitting services due to upcoming ankle reconstruction surgery. I need some time to properly recover and get back on my feet—literally!

During my recovery, my wonderful husband and fellow pet sitters will be stepping in to assist with pet sitting duties. Rest assured, your furry friends will continue to receive the same loving care and attention they always have.

🐾 4th of July Safety Tips for Your Dogs! 🎆

As we gear up for 4th of July celebrations, let's not forget our furry friends who might find the festivities a bit overwhelming.

Here are the times fireworks are legal in Mishawaka, however we all know a lot of people light off outside these times. So you need to be vigilant for your pets.

• On the 4th of July, between 10 a.m. and midnight.

• On the five days before and after July 4th (June 29-July 3; July 5-9), between 5 p.m. and two hours after sunset.

Below are a few tips to keep your dogs safe and comfortable. But don't hesitate to reach out to your vet if your pet needs medication to help them through.

1. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet area inside where your dog can retreat from the noise.

2. Keep Them Indoors: Fireworks can be scary! Keep your dog inside to prevent them from getting spooked and running away.

3. Distraction is Key: Provide toys and treats to keep your dog entertained and distracted from the loud noises.

4. Stay Calm: Your dog takes cues from you. Stay calm and reassuring to help them feel safe.

5. ID Tags: Ensure your dog’s ID tags and microchip information are up to date, just in case.
