Today was our annual CPR refresher training session, and we all got to practice the skills of performing this critical action at our team meeting - everyone from our customer service team to the doctors got perfect their technique to give chest compressions to the "patients" we cared for today!

The tempo of "Stayin' Alive" helps us remember how often to give compressions in this emergency. Along with chest compressions, securing an airway, giving oxygenated breaths, obtaining IV assess, monitoring vital signs, and administering emergency resuscitation medications all together as a coordinated team comprises a "code" in veterinary medicine.

We are thankful that we practice this skill for the rare occasions this is necessary for our patients, but want to be prepared for every scenario!
