Observing body language to determine appropriate play in group is important. Some dogs feel the need to be a part of everything going on around them, which can lead to unbalanced play. The "third wheel" as we will call it comes charging into an existing group of dogs playing.They are often overstimulated and intend to be a part of the group, but they tend to be over aroused and lack impulse control. In this reel, we are encouraging this dog to look to the handler when there is excitement and get guidance from the handler. With utilization of recall and a long line in the beginning stages, you can give guidance to the dog.
