Fall is upon us here in Southern California. I am adding another raised planter in my vegetable garden and changing the layout. This is the time to plant your cool season veggies and plan for spring.

Also, get your scented sweet pea seeds going! Don't wait until spring!

Unfortunately, only 2 chicks hatched out of the clutch of 6, and they didn't make it.

Jelly is no longer in breeding season.

One chick hatched on Monday January 23rd. Something happened to its wing and it doesn't look good. I am guessing it will not survive.

Then, Jelly decided to throw one egg out of the nest. She dropped it in her 'p**p corner'. So we are down to 4 unhatched eggs and 1 injured chick.
