All Dallas Rescue people. Please help if you can. Awesome organization.

SFCA is needing a day foster for 1 dog Thursday September 12 from 3-8:30 pm. Pick up and drop off Dallas, TX. Dog is about 40 lbs so you would need a SUV to get crate and dog. This dog really needs help just for this one day.

Today here in Mission at least 5 dogs have died of heat stroke. Reported by our local AC.
This is just horrible and makes me so sad.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE AND INDOORS during this extreme weather.

Our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program might be right for you! 📝❤️

As a FTA Foster you get to take home an adoptable animal and "try them out" 🥰 before making a full commitment!
The two week Foster to Adopt trial is a great idea for: pets that might need a little time to come around in order for you to see their personality, families with other animals, families with younger kids. All these would benefit from a slow acclimation in the home. Once the trial period is over the final decision can be made to officially adopt! 📃💜🐾🐶🐱

It's that time of year! 🦇

We have received many calls regarding Eastern red bats that are orphaned pups, grounded juveniles, or mothers being chased out of trees! As we progress further into pup season, these babies are learning how to fly and may end up injured or in places they shouldn't be. The Eastern red bats are often targeted by birds and will either drop babies when fleeing the roost, or mothers end up grounded due to the weight of her growing pups.

Sometimes these bats are well enough to be placed back into a tree, however, you should always contact a rehabber first! Sending a photo of the bat to a rehabber allows us to see if the bat or bats are uninjured, healthy, and old enough to be placed back into a tree. Once they have confirmed the bat is okay, the rehabber will provide instructions on how to safely relocate her. And in the event that the little bat is not healthy enough, old enough, or is injured it is crucial to get them to a rescuer ASAP.
