Gizmo and Eeyore have two beautiful broken black otters babies. 🥰 Oh my goodness, I absolutely love these two. They are officially a week old today and growing so fast.

We officially have our first litter of Holland babies and mama is doing beautifully taking care of them. Can't wait to see their colors come in. I'm pretty sure we have two peanuts, but we will see as they grow.

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this morning to tell you all the Bean didn't make it. I know it happens but it always makes me sad when it does. His eyes were open and he was getting so fuzzy but I don't think mama was producing enough milk and supplementing was not his thing, we tried.😥

BEAN UPDATE:
Still so tiny, but getting fuzzy and such a sweet baby. He will crawl out of the nest and cuddle up into my hand to snuggle in and sleep. He is looking more and more opal in color by the day. I can't wait to see if he has the lutino eyes or is a true opal.

For those of you following, Bean is doing great today. The two scratches he has on him from mama are healing well. He is warm, fat, and happy. (No we don't know gender, but we are calling Bean a he) We will keep you all posted as he grows. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

It is with a sad heart that I share the harsher side of raising rabbits. We do everything we can to help take care of these babies and help keep the Mama's happy and healthy, but sometimes nature has other plans. I went out to feed this morning and found one of our new babies cold and not moving. I scooped him up and he started squeaking so I tucked him in my shirt to get warm and started searching the box for his sibling who I eventually found tucked up in the front cold and lifeless (there was no saving that one). This little one, we are affectionately calling Bean will be inside and taken to feed twice a day until old enough to manage the cold outside without his sibling.

UPDATE: Two perfect little Netherland babies born on Sunday. They are so tiny and so cute and beautiful colors. Can't wait to see them grow.

Very impatiently waiting for our first Netherland litter. We had hay stashing this morning and then pulled a lot of fur about 20 minutes ago....now just waiting and watching the baby cam. Be back as soon as we have little wigglers.

We all absolutely adore the newest member to our rabbitry. Happy Holland Homestead thank you so much for our sweet little boy Wall-e. The look on his face says it all, we are all so enamored with his sweet little face....even my boyfriend who doesn't usually go for the "little" rabbits.

It's official....we will have our first litter of Holland at the rabbitry any day, felt kicks this morning. Mama is broken chocolate otter and Dad is blue otter. Can't wait to see what we get from them. 😍❤️😍❤️

First litter since early summer and we are so excited. Six black silver foxes who carry chocolate, white, and blue. Don't mind Little Orphan Annie in there...our New Zealand had a litter of two and one didn't make it so she has a new batch of siblings for a bit.
