🚨FOUND BEARDED DRAGON🚨

A large male bearded dragon was found at 1655 Roger’s Street, wondering around on the tracks inside the railroad building!

Please contact us at 1 (406) 241-5760, or via one of our social medias if you have any leads! We would love to reunite this absolute beast of a dragon back with his family! Till then, he is safe and sound!

Also huge shout out to the workers at Montana Rail Link for scooping him up and calling us!

🚨We have been flooded with messages as of today and yesterday about pet parents concerned for their exotics, WE WILL BE REACHING OUT TODAY! 🚨
Here’s a list of things you should bring if your pet is in need of power:

1. Transport

2. Holding/Quarantine Tank( remember this is an emergency, and we have a lot of pets coming in who need assistance. We may not be able to fit their whole set up!)

3. Lights (if not we have plenty to borrow out)

4. Your contact information, that way once power is back on we can return your pet safely home!

Just as a head up for anyone with wild birds! We cannot take in wildlife! We are just able to provide a place with power for household animals who are without!

Missoula peeps! Our friends at Raptor View are driving around town recovering osprey chicks that were blown out of their nest from the storm. If you know any osprey in need, please text 406-210-3468. We'll be working on assessing chicks and getting them back up into their nests asap!

THANK YOU Pet Fest!!! We actually have one our largest to date, adoptions posts coming on Monday! Let’s just say, we currently have 21 animals that have been surrendered in the past month and now are ready for their new homes!

🐢TURTLE SEASON HAS STARTED!🐢

Well folks, it’s that time of year again! Our Montana native turtle, the painted turtle, have began their yearly wake up! So these little and/or big guys are going to be crossing roads more frequently trying to find different ponds. IF YOU SEE A TURTLE CROSSING PLEASE STOP YOUR VEHICLE AND TURN YOUR FLASHERS ON! HELP THAT TURTLE ACROSS THE ROAD!!

Not all turtles are as lucky as this little guy, this is first turtle of the year we were brought who was involved in a hit and run. He was lucky enough he had a scrape on his face, and no cracked shell or internal bleeding. He was promptly placed into one of our outdoor stock ponds for two days to monitor and able to be released.

Just an FYI to any reptile owners, you can get tested flood lights dirt cheap at Home Resource!! 20 bulbs and some wood screws for $15! It’ll save you an arm and leg plus you get to feel good about your purchase. And don’t worry, we made sure to save some for you guys! There’s plenty left!

And Tom is off to go live his best life with his new brother, Ringo, at Animal Wonders Inc.! Thank you Jess for being able to provide Tom with the veterinary care he so desperately needed and the socialization with his own kind! Well, sadly this isn’t the post we wanted to make but as of recently we’ve struggling. Currently our rescue bills are out of the roof as we pay $2,701 a month just in rent alone on top of our $600 power bill monthly.

What we need help with: Help with Paying off and keeping up to date with our power bill is our largest. We currently are about to be shut off in ten days. We do prefer you pay directly onto our power bill(if they allow you to) as that way it can be ensured to both parties that the money is going where it needs! Although we won’t deny donations in person, over PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp.

We have several fundraisers coming up this spring and March but are in a tough period currently. We just want to say thank you for all the love and support we receive, we absolutely would not be here if it was not for you guys!!

Hello everyone! We wanted to pop on here and let everyone know we have been going through some personal issues lately and haven’t been as active on our social media. And we do apologize for this, our owners Kadie and Wyatt have been hard at work taking care of all the critters. Kadie was just hospitalized for seizures, again, and is working on being able to prevent them. The Rescue is still operating by appointment and we are still up to date on our website for available rescues! We do have several upcoming events/fundraisers planned and we are EXTREMELY excited that we will be at the ZACC on March 1st! We also will be hosting a parking lot sale when the weather warms up, of all our unused spare equipment! So stay tuned for upcoming events, rescues, and more!!

Our condolences to the Barczyk family….Brian was a HUGE inspiration to us and was a leading reason why we started doing what we do today. What Brian has done for not only the reptile community but the WHOLE exotic animal community was astronomical.

On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.

More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian's fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.

Our deepest sympathies are with Brian's family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. We've lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void.
As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian's work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.

The Barczyk family invites you to join us for a Public Memorial Walk-through to honor Brian’s memory. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Heritage Church, located at 44625 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313 from 1-3pm.

🐾 Our rescue is facing a tough start to the year as a sponsor has pulled funding. We're working overtime to keep our doors open and the power on for our scaley friends. Our focus is on their care and being able to pay the bills, not our social media presence. We do apologize for this, as this was totally out of our control. ✨NEW RESCUE ALERT✨

Well everyone, meet Tom Nook! Tom is a captive born and raised raccoon. He was found in a basement in a small cage, malnourished, and begging to be saved. Luckily a nice man who was hired to clean the home out took Tom and raised him to be such a good boy!

Tom will be at the rescue from time to time with us, but for now lives next store at our home until he’s fully leashed trained.And HUGE THANK YOU to our FWP who helped us along with this process! With that being said we are in the looks for some stuff to fill in the new larger cage….we will list those below!!! ⬇️

Well, this isn’t the update on Pickles that we hoped for…he has passed over the rainbow bridge. He declined significantly in less than twelve hours, and when we woke him up for medicine he didn’t wake up…thank you guys for all the love and support for Pickles. He really needed it. ❤️🌈🦔

It's with a mix of sadness and hope that we share an update about our beloved traveling animal ambassador, Pickles the Hedgehog. After many years of bringing joy and education to countless people, Pickles has retired due to age and a spinal cord injury. But don't worry, our resilient friend is doing well and is on the road to recovery! 🙌

To ensure Pickles receives the best care, we have moved him from the rescue to our home. Where can provide round-the-clock attention, making sure he feels safe and comfortable during this time. 🏡💚

We're thrilled to share the good news that Pickles is expected to be back on his little paws within the next week! 🎉 Thanks to the incredible efforts of our veterinarian, Shoni Card at Animal Blessings Pet Hospital, and Pickles' determination, we're confident he'll be exploring and waddling again soon. 🚶‍♂️✨

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the love and support everyone has shown Pickles throughout this scary journey. Stay tuned for updates on Pickles' recovery, and let's continue to send him all the positive vibes as he embarks on this new chapter of living his best Retirement Life!💌❤️

🚨*CAUTION: VERY GRAPHIC*🚨

Well, the first turtle of the year to be hit by a car has been brought to the rescue. Sadly this little man was deceased upon arrival after being brought here…OUR NATIVE MONTANAN PAINTED TURTLE IS BECOMING ENDANGERED DUE TO INVASIVE TURTLES! We cannot educate enough on how much this turtle means to our native waters and lands, and all it takes to save a life is to stop your car and help the turtle cross. This accident could have been prevented, no matter the situation their lives are just as important as our own, our children’s, and friends lives. PLEASE, IF YOU SEE A TURTLE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD…STOP YOUR CAR AND HELP THE TURTLE!

For all of our followers who followed Terry’s story…it came to an end last night. Terry has crossed the rainbow bridge and is officially with with his brother, Gibby.

Terry and Gibby suffered years abuse at the hands of their owner, ultimately leading to them to getting lice, mites, and bronchitis. Terry will forever live on as a reason why PROPER CARE AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT IS SO IMPORTANT!! This could have been prevented.
