Dr. Cyndi Wood started Five Valleys Veterinary Clinic in 1998 and has been responsible for providing outstanding veterinary care ever since. Our specialty is in the area of small animal general medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Five Valleys Veterinary is the only clinic in Missoula using a class 4 laser to assist our patients with chronic pain, wounds, and surgery recovery. Using laser therapy pen

etrates tissue without damaging it in order to reduce pain and inflammation and increase healing speed. Our regular customers particularly value our friendly and compassionate care, and we try our best to keep our rates low to better serve you and your campanions. We also try to work with people that have low income wether it be with the help of Friends of the Shelter donating money for services or allowing clients to write post dated checks. We are still a small business and unfortunately billing is not an option for us at this point. So please give us a call and let us begin a great friendship with you and your companions.

From a local gardener:
This tick has been on display for us to show people for a while. After months in a sealed container without any additional feeding, she laid eggs. This demonstrates how long a tick can remain dormant and how many eggs one female can lay. Remember, ticks become active again in the fall, so continue with preventive measures.
If you encounter a small pile of jelly-like balls in your garden, act immediately! These are tick eggs and they're set to hatch soon. The right side of the image shows the life stages of a tick, for your reference.
Either set them on fire or destroy them by soaking in isopropyl alcohol. Be sure to wear gloves if you handle the nest, as it contains hundreds of tick eggs that will hatch in a few weeks. I believe it's important to share this post because tick bites can be dangerous.
Stay safe and informed to protect yourself and your garden from these tiny but dangerous creatures!

Easter is coming…Just a REMINDER: Lilies are DEADLY to cats. Even a little bit of pollen, which may fall from the flowers onto a table, be walked on by the cat, and subsequently licked off of the paw, can be fatal! Please do not purchase flower arrangements with lilies in them if they will be in a home with kitties. True Lilies, which include the Tiger, Stargazer, Easter, and Oriental varieties, and Day Lilies are highly toxic to cats. Every part of the plant, even the water contained in the vase, is toxic if ingested and only a small amount can be fatal.🐾❤️
