We have new potatoes in the farm store! They have a light skin and aren’t meant for long term storage. They're dug up on purpose before they get bigger, so they can be enjoyed for their delicate thin skins, high moisture content, and sweet flavor.

Eggs will be restocked today. We are getting an abundance of ducks eggs too!

We have a private event on the farm tonight. If you happen to come out to farm store, you are more than welcome to buy from the food trucks that are here. Hungry dog food truck will be here and Michelle's Mad Batter with desserts 🧁

We have to wear jeans and long sleeves to keep the mosquitoes from eating us alive while in the garden! We dry our calendula flowers and infuse them in oil for our salve that is in our shop! 🌼

And we started to harvest garlic! 🧄 They will cure for a couple weeks and then they will be ready 👏🏼

We will have a small batch of sourdough graham crackers available today! Each container is enough to make 5 s’mores or ice cream sandwiches. We had to test out the ice cream sandwiches to make sure they taste good. 😉
Paired it with our mint chip and it was delicious!

Ingredients in graham crackers:
organic whole wheat, organic all purpose flour, organic brown sugar, raw organic honey, baking soda, salt

We have clean ingredients mallows in the store too!

We caught our first swarm this past week! We checked tonight and they are building out the comb AND there is a queen. All good signs! This cluster of bees is called a swarm.

“A change of season can also cause bee swarming, which is why swarming usually happens in the spring after the cold winter. It can also be that, as more pollen comes in, the nest of bees grows rapidly and worker bees that are usually making honey are idle, causing overcrowding.”

You can contact any beekeeper if you see a swarm and they can safely remove them. 🐝 🍯

More meat chicks and egg layers arrived this morning! We are trying a different breed this time that grows slower. These ones will free range around our farm all summer! We think they are pretty cute. 🐥

We use chamomile for our tea and herbal bath tea. We also use it to infuse in our tallow lotion.

We have some restocks this week and more eggs in fridge! It is REALLY muddy out. We are waiting for it to dry up a little to add more gravel and grade the driveway. If you decide to come out, please use caution.

It is the last weekend to pick pumpkins! Friday-Sunday Buy One, Get One Free 🫶🏼 (10/22 will be our last day) 10am-sunset 25085 406th Ave Follow the white pumpkin signs 🪧

Our event tomorrow for those who bought tickets is from 9-10am! This is our table full of fall leaves, dried herbs, and flowers from our farm for fall pumpkin decorating🍁 Address is 25085 406th Ave Follow the white pumpkin signs. There will be a sign out for parking too for event. Patch is open to everyone else at 10am! See you tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the first day to pick pumpkins! 🍂 What to expect: 1. Follow the map in comments and balloons. 2. We are open 10-sunset. Early morning and evenings seem to be the most enjoyable for weather and pictures. 3. Cash or venmo only 4. Self-serve honor system but we are usually around to help 5. $1 for small, $3 for medium, $5 for large, and $8 for XL (some rows will have signs but we trust you know how to determine size 😉) 6. We will have some extra produce, ornamental corn, etc available tomorrow from 10-12! 7. Please be respectful of our farm and the animals we have here. Watch out for our kitties who roam the property and will likely greet you when you arrive. 🫶🏼
