Make sure to watch on how long you are outside, dogs can also get frostbite on their paws much like how us humans can get frostbite on our toes and fingers!

Do you know why dogs have slits (the philtrum) in the side of their nose?
The slits allow for a more efficient separation of air streams, directing one stream to the lungs for breathing and another to the olfactory receptors in the back of the nose for processing scents. The nose slits enhance their sniffing ability and help them to distinguish 30,000 - 100,000 different types of smells. (Humans can only discern 4,000 - 10,000)
