This is what it looks like when you leave your dog at a shelter. This little girl was owner surrendered. She has spent her 5 years of life with the same person. Never been around other dogs. Her elderly owner was no longer able to take if her. Family wasn't willing. So off to a county shelter.
She keeps on searching for her person.
Every week when I go to the shelters, this is what I see. It is heartbreaking.

I pull dogs mainly from 2 Ky shelters. Pulaski County Animal Shelter and Marion County Animal Shelter.

Pulaski County is a small shelter. That also take dogs in from Russell Springs.
With only 28runs or so, it quickly gets full.
Kim Sears works hard to try and find rescue for the dogs. It is a very difficult task, especially with the larger dogs.

Marion county, Candi Lee Taylor, is also a non stop working woman. Always trying to find placement for animals. That Shelter is larger, which means more dogs. It is almost always full.

These workers along with the other dedicated workers at these shelters deserve our thanks and appreciation. They work day and night to save dogs and cats.
They try to clean up the mess left by our throw away society.

PLEASE SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF SELLING PUPPIES.

QUIT DUMPING DOGS. VERY FEW ACTUALLY SURVIVE.

VACCINATE YOUR PETS, NOT ONCE, BUT AT LEAST 3 TIMES OVER 3 MONTHS.

SOCIALIZE!!! SCARED DOGS DO NOT MAKE IT OUT OF A SHELTER.

The past 2 weeks, I have had just 5 fosters. It was easy and nice, but I figured out that even though it it nice to have fewer dogs, my body does better when I àm super busy. So today I pulled 6 dogs from Pulaski County Animal Shelter.

I want to thank Sweet Dream House Rescue for all their help.
I appreciate the Blankets, collars, food(enough wet dog food to share with others), and for helping me pay for the propane to heat the building.

This sweet dog was hit by a car. Owner surrendered. Thankfully injuries were minor.
Hate to say it, but it was a blessing.
He is in horrible shape due to neglect.

We named him Orion (heavenly light).
The heavens were truly looking after him.
Good life for now on sweet boy.

We are officially closed for a much needed vacation.
1st time in a long time the care facility is completely empty.
Thank you SDH and NGPR for your help.
4 dogs left for SDH this week.
Murray, Skywalker, Keno, and little Angelica all super sweet well behaved pups availed thru Sweet Dream House Rescue in Batavia Ohio.
Apollo, I my opinion, the best Great Pyrenees ever is availed thru National Great Pyrenees rescue.
Please check them out.
