We are excited to introduce you to some great friends of ours today! Finsterwald Show Pigs have made their own tracks in the Texas circuit for several years. Their operation is on the rise, and we know that they will bring nothing but the best. Anyone else counting down the days until September 22nd?!

Litter # 6 has also arrived with 11 Cross’s. This litter is out of Drum Roll at Coulson’s. She had 5 boars and 6 gilts. The damm is a Drop Dead gilt we purchased from Moyer last fall and had a pretty successful show career. This litter has us extremely excited about what the future could hold.

Litter # 5 has also arrived in this HOT July day with 11 Durocs. This litter is out of Red Carpet at Premium Blend. She had 6 boars and 5 gilts. The damm had a good show career last fall and had numerous littermates have success as well. We sure love the Red ones around here and think these could be really good.

Litter # 4 has arrived in this HOT July day with 8 Berks. This litter is out of Reach High at Winters Livestock. She had 5 boars and 3 gilts. The damm is out a phenomenal litter from Premium Blend and had a great show career in Oklahoma last fall. This litter has us fired up for the Berkshire breed.

Litter # 3 arrived in the middle of night with 12 Crossbreds. This litter is out of Buckle Down at Ottenwalter”s. She had 6 boars and 6 gilts. The damm had a really good litter last year with lots of color. This litter is colored up a lot as well with a lot of blues.

Litter # 2 has arrived with 13 Durocs. This litter is out of Rise Up at Premium Blend. She had 5 boars and 8 gilts. The damm raised multiple class winners and breed champions last year. This litter of reds has us excited for this season.

Well farrowing is in full force here and started out with 12 Berks in our first litter. This litter is out of Rogue at Winters Livestock. She had 7 boars and 5 gilts. These look stout and have us excited for this season.

UPDATE: SOLD We have a couple nice barrows that need a new home. This guys is a real nice York appearing cross. He is out a gilt that was a litter mate to Tristan’s York appearing barrow last fall and another gilt that placed in the top 10 in San Angelo by the Lee family. They are priced to sell. This guy is a crypt.

Finsterwald Showpigs-Family Owned

Finsterwald Show Pigs is a family owned and operated business which started in 2015 . They are located at 8660 FM 3182 Mobeetie, TX 79061. The owners, Randy and Tera Finsterwald, are full time employees in the oilfield industry outside of running the family farm. Even though raising pigs is their second job, it is by no means a hobby for them. This family loves and cares for each and every pig owned or sold on the farm. They originally started raising pigs for their daughter, Madison who was addicted to showing from day one of her third grade year. This decision was made so that Madison, and eventually her little brother Tristan, could experience the breeding and farrowing process and then be able to chose which hogs they want to show each year. Randy and Tera enjoy meeting and visiting with each and every person who comes to the farm to look at pigs. It is their mission/goal to put winning and affordable hogs in the hands of each exhibitor that comes their way. Working with today’s youth brings them great pleasure and excitement. This family tries to make as many shows each year that they can to watch, support, and lend a hand if needed, for each of the kids showing their animals whether they are in Texas or other states. Quality show pigs can be found in the most unexpected places, even a small farm like this one who has produced winners every year. Randy and Tera looks forward to meeting the needs of all future exhibitors who come to see them at Finsterwald Show Pigs. God bless and good luck to all!
