Our Mission:
TO HELP UNWANTED, ABANDONED, ABUSED, NEGLECTED, STRAY AND HOMELESS DOGS FIND SAFE AND LOVING FOREVER HOMES.
Our Service Area is Randolph County
We are a licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a rescue we want to help bridge the gap between a homeless dog and their fur-ever home by giving them a place to rest their head until their fur-ever is found. We are a foster based rescue, we CANNOT take in any dogs that we do not have foster homes for, as we do not have a facility. We are always accepti
ng new fosters as the need is always in demand. if you are interested in fostering please visit our website and complete the application. All of our dogs are fully vetted including; spayed or neutered, Rabies Vaccine, Canine Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Adenovirus Cough (kennel cough), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus, Heartworm checked, deworming, flea/tick preventative and micro-chipped. DONATING:
For our rescue to be successful in saving shelter dogs and dogs in need we cannot rely solely on our adoption fees as the cost to keep a fur-friend in foster and vet bills fluctuates, our adoption fees rarely cover the basic vetting. If you would like to make a donation please contact as our fur-friends will greatly benefit from your kindness. If you would rather make a product donation we can always use the following: Leashes, Collars, Food bowls, Treats, Dog Food, Dog Beds, Puppy Pads, Kennels/Crates, Toys and Cleaning Supplies
Note that if a dog comes to us as a stray we will hold it for the state mandated 5 day hold time, plus another 5 days which equals 10 days total in hopes to locate owner. If owner is not located we will proceed in the vetting process and place him/her up for adoption.

Our Story: How we help dogs, you and the community.
Founded in 2012, Saving Dogs 4 Paws at a Time Rescue was granted 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status in 2014. Since our founding, we have rescued or assisted with more than 500 dogs. We receive dogs from sometimes unimaginable circumstances and through the loving efforts of our foster families and individuals, we see them transformed from scared, abused and neglected dogs into loving and loved members of their new families. Because we are primarily a foster based rescue, we are always in need of qualified foster homes. We can only save as many dogs as we have foster homes to place them.

HOW TO ADOPT A DOG FROM SAVING DOGS 4 PAWS AT A TIME:
Every dog deserves a good home and loving people to give him or her a happy, healthy and safe life. We are proud of our ability to match dogs with forever families, and always strive to find the best fit for our rescued dogs. The welfare and best interest of our dogs ALWAYS takes top priority when we match them with potential adopters.
The process to adopt our rescued dogs is as follows:
We will review your application. We do contact your vet references to see how you have treated your pets in the past. In addition, if you do not own your home, we will make contact with your landlord.
We will contact you by telephone to advise you on the status of your application and to request clarification of your application, if necessary.
Following the review and approval of your adoption application, we will schedule a home visit. The purpose of this visit is to ensure that the rescued dog will have a good environment and caring family so spend his/her life with.
Once the home visit is completed, we will set up a meet and greet with your family and the rescued dog. We suggest that this be done at a neutral location, such as a park or our shelter facility. You will be asked to bring family members with you as well as pets that you already have. You will have time and opportunity to make sure everybody gets along and your expectations with this dog can be met.
Upon satisfactory completion of the above steps, the dog will be offered for adoption. An anointment will be made for the adoption. During the appointment, necessary paperwork will be completed, you will pay the adoption fee and ownership will then be transferred to you.
After the adoption:
Please keep in mind that a major change has just taken place in your new family member's life. He/she does not know that he is now part of your family. He will need time to adjust to his new life and to become familiar with you and your family. Some dogs adjust quickly while others take more time. Show lots of patience and always make the dog feel loved and wanted. Also know that Saving Dogs 4 Paws at a Time is always available to you if you need help with integrating your adopted dog into his new life. Feel free to contact us any time you have questions, concerns or need help resolving any issues.
DO YOU NEED HELP?
We offer several services to the community to assist dogs in need. If you have found a dog or lost a dog, let us know. If you need to find a new home for your dog, we may be able to help. Have you seen a stray dog? Please tell us so we can help. We also have a community outreach program for assisting owners who are financially strapped, to get the food and medical attention needed to keep the dog healthy.
